Wrap your noodles around this. We are parasites of a yet to be understood or even known origin. We use and consume organic materials until their depletion. At which time we discard our now destroyed host form and inhabit another.

And scientist agree we are a parasite or disease. Destroy all in our path for our own survival while eliminating our own chances of such in the future.

My thoughts. A good day to all. I'm off to replace some life in the yard and garden. Someone may need a host soon.
