Mysterious White "Hairs" in Kief

Hey All,

Does anyone know what the mysterious white "hairs" are that are always found in dry sift kief?
I've been doing dry sift for a long long time and have never been able to identify them. If you are familiar with what I'm referring to then you know it's not animal hair. I've had them show up in animal free facilities and I've looked at it under a microscope as well.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!

collect them, toke/burn separately for quicker identification note their burning pattern and smell.
Inspect your fresh buds, then after grinding, then again when collected.....
do they curl like a pubic hair when burned? who around you has white pubic hairs ?
do white pubic hairs burning smell different than black ones?(curious is all)
what are the different ways they might get into your kief for instance?:P

Contaminated: source(buds,room,packaging), tools(plastic/painted grinder, screen, scraper,work surface) storage containers/habits
