Mystery seed, first grow, CFL

Thanks. I bought a few things today to set up the dishwasher but it didn't quite come out the way I was hoping. It will definitely be fully height adjustable to try to keep the plant as short as possible. Until I buy my auto flower seeds...

Here are some pics. I used a 2 liter soda bottle and cut it, then I used a water bottle and put tiny holes in the bottom. I put that inside the 2 liter bottle to catch any water that drains.

Should I put plastic wrap over it?

I'm also going to pick up some mylar tomorrow, the foil is temporary until I go to Wal Mart

I gotta take a minute to thank Jack Herer for the little surprise I just got, I tore apart a tiny nug from my Jack Herer batch and out came 3 seeds! I've been getting JH completely seedless from the same source for a few months now, these are the first seeds I've even seen from this collective over the last 4 or 5 months. That makes a total of 4 JH seeds in my little collection, I might send 2 over to a friend to grow them for me, they have a much better set up, I'd hate to let these seeds go to waste

Depending on logistics that could be a strong possibility natty :D I'm redoing my entire apartment today, I'll be on here later and a few times throughout the day.

As far as the med seed that I put in soil last night, it's been sitting in the sun as much as possible all day today, it will go back under cfl when the sun can't hit my windows anymore

Well the medical seedling came through the soil today, I put it under at least a half inch of soil, I'm really curious to see how far along it will be tomorrow morning. I had it in the sun as much as possible today, both inside the apartment and in the patio. I'm going to repeat that as much as possible. I'll take some pics in the morning, for now here are a few of the new area setup specifically for the seedlings until I have a more permanent solution. I still plan to grow one inside the dishwasher and probably one out in the open somewhere inside the apartment.

I spent $10 on the tub, $6 on the fan, $3.50 on the mylar and about $40-45 in lighting

Thanks, honestly I dont even know if it's mylar, lol, it's just a windshield cover laid down that just so happen to fit perfectly without cutting it for now. I'm going to return my pc fan and power supply this week and buy some more of those little $6 wal mart fans, that one alone is keeping that whole box pretty cool so far. No sun today so the babies will stay under cfl all day :(

In hopes that it is a girl (fingers crossed) and I can keep it alive long enough to harvest it, I'm gonna call her Cheyla for now :) (the name of my old rottie, rip)


Oops, after taking a closer look, that seedling is the mexican one, the med seed hasn't busted through, gonna keep my hopes up and maybe we'll see her by tomorrow

Yea, I never got my answer on if I should put plastic over them or not so I did anyway, I was going to put the regular plastic wrap over them but these bags are much easier for me to work with, just pull them off, water and pull them over again. How long should I keep them on there?

I really hope to have pics of 2 seedlings by tomorrow morning. I had to move the med seed into a new container so I don't confuse them again (even though I had labeled it)

Ok cool, looks like there won't be much to update on this thread for a couple of days then...

I'm looking forward to when they start to show their sex, I can keep one vegging in that box while I flower one in the dishwasher as originally planned

I'm heading back to my budtender tomorrow to pick up some more Jack Herer, there has to be a few more seeds laying in that jar somewhere, now when I pack a bowl I get all paranoid and break it down to almost like dust to make sure there's no seed, lol

This is the cheapy seed and a day younger than my med mystery seed and look where it's at already

Now I just hope it's a girl...

I'm gonna let them get as much sun as possible today, cheaper than using my lights

They sat in the sun for well over 3 hours today and the seedling seemed to like it, it's standing tall. Unfortunately there is still no progress with the good seed... I have started to germinate another med seed just in case I have to bail on this one too
