Name that bug. Friend or foe?

Howdy Folks.

Was just at my spot today, and noticed a few of these bugs on some foliage. Trying to figure out A. What they are, and B. Are they harmful. I sprayed my girls down with some Neem today, first time since I put them out about a month ago... Kind of silly on my part, I know. IF they are bad for the girls, would Neem oil be enough? Or will I have to go a bit heavier? I noticed whenever I came close to one, they would jump/hop away, almost like a grasshopper/cricket. Maybe some type of Leaf hopper? Sorry about the quality of the pic, had to snap it fast before he jumped away. It was white, and had almost a diamond shape body looking down at it.

Any help would be awesome. :leaf::leaf:

Hard to tell.. if its a light green little grasshopper thing then you are in trouble, one of those little shits can eat an entire leaf in a day.

i have tons of grasshoppers and they dont really bother my shit too much, there is plenty of other stuff for them to eat. its not like bugs target just your weed plants to eat. I have done a few outdoor grows and sure leaves will get eaten but its not going to kill the plant.

again just my 2¢

Agreed this is my first grow and my best plant gets a bug bit every few days but it's usualy just one or two small holes it's really nothin to worry about....... Unless u go out to your spot one day and something ate 9 of your sproutes than it sucks.... Trust me I know lol but it was just bag seed and they were 2 inches tall

I just checked on Myne and 6 fan leaves were gone and alot of the main stalk I'm pissed an 2 of my next biggest and they are barley a foot tall

Most gardening stores carry predator bugs (praying mantis and lady bugs),
they will do a fairly good job at keeping unwanted pests away.

easiest thing to do is get mantises..theyll eat the shit out of everything on the plant and given enuf time can get big enuf to eat mice haha

outdoors i only worry about slugs and spider mites. a little munching makes for tough plants. nature will usually balance things out.

Sure looks like a leaf hopper to me but just make sure you don't fret a few blemishes. Based on my experience both the praying mantis and the ladybug are extremely difficult to train to stay in your garden but the mantis are just so cool.

just let them eat, ahit your going to do more harm spraying your plant with chem's than that dam bug is going to do eating a few nibbles of leaf.
