nanners...question

I am 44 days info flowering and I have one plant that keeps randomly pushing out nanners, not too many but a few so far. Only small one cause i been catching them early and been pulling them off.

My question is...how long does it take for a nanner to produce pollen once it starts to form, and then open or whatever? And if they do hypothetially spread pollen how long would it take to ollinate my othrt plants and make seeds?
I am only 2 weeks or so untill harvest, should i be worried?

if it keeps pushing out nanners you might be better off tossing it, wouldn't want to risk pollinating the rest of your garden if you do have other plants.

Toss it? With just 2 weeks left? Im sure 2 weeks isent long enough for the nanners to produce pollen, open, pollenate and then seeds start to produce, right?

I just read that jorge Cervantes said that nanners take 2-3 weeks just to start producing pollen inside, nevermind opening and then pollenating.
Im sure someonem has experence with this, can anyone confirm this?

Depends on the strain. Some can release pollen in 12 hours most take about a day. Two weeks left? You might end up with a few immature seeds but nothing to get upset over.

once they open, you've got a good two weeks or so for them to bust their nuts ime..

and once they do their thing, it takes seeds a good 4 weeks or so to fully form, so you should be fine, even if they do get all excited and bust a nut, it should be too late for seeds to fully form..

Should i keep removing them by hand if i see more? Or better if i just leave thrm alone? Anyone??

i'd try and carefully remove them if you can, but i'd not dig into the buds and do any damage if i could either.. like i said, it's pretty late to get any seeds, maybe a few, tiny, immature seeds at the most.. also, seeds don't make the bud any less potent, people just prefer sensi (seedless) as it's easier to smoke..

Thanks alot racer, ur advice and experience is greatly appreciated. I only took out like maybe 5 or 6 nanners, some really tiny.and i kinda did dig into the bud but not really as they kinda pertruded out, and i pinched off a tiny big bud bud too but very vrty minumul like mostly pistils. But next time il! Try to use tweezers or something.

Thx again dude and +rep for the help

I would probably give them a poke or two from where they are growing until the fall off without releasing any pollen and if any pollen did go on to the buds then all you have to do is spray the buds and the pollen will not be fit enough for purpose.

There all prob chock full of seed, I would of ditched it when I seen the first nana. But normally only affects the end yield amount.

How do you figure that? Its only been maybe a week if that since i first seen them, super small immature, ways from being open. I only got several, def no moremthen 6 id say. And if they did open and spewed pollen it takes 5-6 weeks for seeds to develope.

They have already pollinated that plant. Under and inside the buds you will find seeds but maybe okay for the other plants. I'd still remove it.

Don't trip bro. Two weeks left there is really no reason to take it out at this point. These guys are assuming she's a genetic hermie and has had bananas the whole time that you missed. You may be new, but it sounds like you keep a good eye on your ladies. What you're saying is VERY common. Some plants will throw a couple male flowers at the end in sort of a last ditch effort to make babies. Trust me, a few immature seeds MAYBE.

I do keep a good eye on them, you can say obsessively especially on this one plant. Thanks for the advice dude, i think i will let her finish up.
Do you personally think i should just keep plucking the nanners if they keep comming up? Or should i just leave them alone? The only reason im questioning plucking them is that I don't want to prematurely disturb them if i dont have to and if their isent enough time any way to make a difference (2 weeks maybe) as far as pillonation=seed matureing goes. I don't really care about a few premature soft squishy plant like seeds or whatebver, just not anything reconizable or anything thatll diminish the quality of my herb.

If the plant has thrown out Nanners... I am pretty sure you will get seeds on one or two plants...

I was oh so careful...
It was my experience that a Nanner threw out pollen in 24 hours...
From the time that I saw what looked like a nanner... to the time I went back and it was opened and pollen was in my room...
Various other plants in different weeks of bud...
Plants with less than 15 days to take out got no seeds...
Plants that had been in Bud room less than 14 days when I saw nanner got no seeds...
ALL the other plants got seeds...
Play with fire if you want to...
It made me NEVER grow from seeds/bagseed again...
And, for sure don't clone a plant with nanners right?

All my strains i am growing should be ready in around 14 days or maybe a little less for some, but basically all have around the same flowering time
. And the nanners only first started appearing no more then 5-7days ago.
