Got some dank goodness set aside for another round of oil.. waiting for you two to come help make it...and sample it bongsmilie
Believe you me, I can't wait to see it done. Gotta have some hands on experience to really get it. We'll try to make it up one of these days, and if not us, then I'll just pop in one of these days when shes asleep and the boy is at school, just gotta make sure to get back home before snickerdoodle needs to get off to work!

And yeah, the controller is awesome. Slept better with it on then I ever have. That goddamn thing is so loud!

So, a few days into flower, nothing exciting yet, but I snapped some pictures before the lights went out today anyway.

The view when you open the cab -

And here's a view of the upper canopy, from left to right

And here's Purple #1 from above. I've been weaving her into her net for the last few days. Crazy.

Not much of an update, but as most of you know, the really exciting part comes when the flowers really start to show!

As always, looking sweet!

Still holding the purp #1 if needed...picked out the one I am going to use for a mother.

Tried some grafting a couple days ago. My age is a drag sometimes, my eyes are not what they used to be....keeping my fingers crossed but if they don't take I will try again until they do! Using Brain's Escape and Big Band as strain mothers :-)

Not trying to hijack your thread Chairman, hope you don't mind me posting a pic! I know you can't see the joints well in this pic....but just want to give you an idea. They are a little droopy, but it's been three days since I did the grafts so still hope they take. Instead of wrapping each joint for moisture, since I did these on my little plants they fit into my tank I use for clones, so keeping them moist that way.

You really would.... Because most of my genetics came from Momapug, or at least, 6 of my first 8 plants. And the shit she grows is awesome. Her technique has improved over the months, and the quality of her finished stuff shows it!

On a side note, was looking closer at the plants today, we're at 24 inches, and flowers are just starting to poke out! Now's when it gets fun!

You have been roasting the bowls again haven't you Chairman? :eyesmoke: lol...don't give me a big head now.... a few strains may have originated with me, but you are the one who has mastered them...they don't look much like their mother's anymore, and I don't think I could show the results you have with cfl's, that takes some skill

Sounds like the party has begun....so true...the funnest part is just starting :-)

I haven't been roasting bowls, just some nightly medicating ;)

And tbh, I'm sure that if I were to leave them alone, they would probably go back to looking like yours. All I really do is wrench them around and chop off their heads ;)

"Off with their heads" I envision you wielding your sword...chop, chop...just a bit here and there :-)

It is fun and rewarding but it's also hard work and lots of love to get them where you have them.

Btw to answer that 400/430 confusion earlier on....Sun Argo makes a 430 "blue" mh bulb that works inna 400w ballast.....they claim it has 30w more of "blue" lumens....bs but if you spare free flowing cash, go for it....bet it wont make a difference lol

I really don't use my MH anymore. Have the T-5's and HPS in 250/400/600. I use the T-5's for babies and early veg, the the 250 for larger vegging and sometimes the 400 also...although the 400 is a nice back-up for the 600 if it went out. Have the one ballast that will run either MH or HPS in a range of 250-600, then another one that ranges from 250-400. MH worked when I was in a hurry and wanted some stretch, and it works well side by side with hps for flower...but I just phased it out (the MH) and just stick with the hps for everything except new babies.

I ran a conversion type bulb for flower run before last, much more blue light than I am used to seeing in bloom. It did alright, but I felt I ripped myself off a bit using it and would have done better with my good Hortlux hps bulb.

I am excited knowing you two will eventually figure out a way to move up....you can't help yourself with the potential of a light like that, I started with a 400 hps when I had to learn to move inside and it worked surprisingly well. You already have the fan and speed controller...and that filter you made...a few more tweeks here and there is all it will take to get you out of the closet :-) lol....that's how it starts ;)....you could even buy some pans (those oil drip pans they put under cars work great) and not have to move the girls for every water...that must be convincing right there!

I bet you are working on it already

You know it! With Twoodeff hooking us up with that a nice 600w setup, and on top of that, throwing 6 plants our ways, I'm forced to make some changes.

We're thinking of taking the wardrobe out of our alcove and installing a closet. Basically, we're going to make a shelf to go towards the top of the space, with some support built in for the fixture. We then plan to make a drip tray out of 2 x 4 and linoleoum, and enclose the space with some plywood doors. Considering the space I use now, and the space that's available, I should be able to fit in 3 more girls comfortably.

The dimensions of the space are going to be 24" deep, by 42" wide, by about 72" tall.

I'm thinking, because I'll be removing my intake, that I'll need to cut holes in the door with some sort of grating that I should be able to pick up at lowes or something, then cover them on the inside and outside with some sort of black, breathable material.

All in all, I don't see us spending more then $200 to make it happen, and you know that it'll pay off in finished product. Quality, AND quantity.
