Narrow Stem Problem

I have a plant that has a main stem about an inch up that narrows to about 2/3rds of it's diameter, and then continues normally. As a plant, it is growing far slower than the rest. The plant is about a month and a half old, about 12" tall with 4-5 nodes. I'd like to salvage it if I could.

sounds like genetics. what do you mean by salvage?

It was grown from a Dr Greenthumb SLH bean. By salvage I mean can I get clones from it. Flowering is gonna be a no, from what I see.

Agreed, sounds like a glitch in genetics, if there wasn't any damage or anything, that created it. How many nodes or below this section? You could top it there, and let the bottom section take over, or supercrop, and do the same. That *should* allow you to flower it out, but without pics, it's hard to say for sure.

To be honest man, mine did the same. My plants stretched quite a bit before I put a light on them. When they started filling in I just buried that part deeper in the soil. I dont think its a big deal, the plants look healthy.

It looks like they were put into the medium to deep and it caused the trunk to get soaked and then stressed and as long as it does not get a fungus or rot you should be fine. Does your plant show signs of stress? If so and it starts to have problems just clone it and start over. I would just grow it out and try again next time. That is a grow issue not genetic

I guess I will see how it goes, it's actually only 40days from when I put the seed in to germinate. Maybe I am getting worked up for nothing because SLH was one of my wants for medicine.
All that may be a moot point though, since today she started doing this:
