So I'm working with an XtraSun Hood with a Global Green House 120/240v convertible digital ballast and a Agrosun 600w Hps. Still waiting on the ballast to arrive. Supposed to come tomorrow or friday at the latest they said..

I'm doing this in the corner of the kinda basement/storage area under my house. Specs are 3.5x3.5 ft and about 4.5 ft tall. Still not sure of average temp down there yet but it definitely stays around 5 degrees cooler than outside temps.

It's still in the making but really don't have much more to do. Once my ballast arrives, I'm also going to pick up some panda film to light proof the area. Just need to seal it off and steam clean to sterilize, hang my light, cut a hole to exhaust air underneath my house that you can see in the picture to the left of the grow area and then figure out how to draw fresh air in from outside. There's a vent right to outside that you can see in one of the last pictures but much of it is covered up by the support for the storage table leaving about 3 inches of venting.

Still not sure what clones I'm going to come across but I plan on germinating 3 Blue Berry seeds and hoping for at least one fem so I can mother it to make clones. Once I get some clones I'll be throwing them under my 4 tube 4ft HO T5 to veg.

I have a tiny scrog grow with 2 "super" gdp and 2 silver grape haze clones that I just put into 12/12 that I was doing under CFL's and hadn't really planned to get a Hps so now I'm wondering if I should just clone the plants I have under my scrog or if I should just continue to flower them...? :wall:

suggestions are greatly appreciated

I will be in the 600 club soon!! I'm working almost with the same area, 2x3x8. Your place is looking nice, can't wait to see it when it's all preped for the girls to come in!

600's are where its at! whats the dimensions of your space? and what do you veg with?

Well my flowering space is about 2.5 wide 5 long and about 6 high. I have mine on a light mover.

Currently I'm using a 400mh but usually have the 250mh. I actually like vegging under my 600 HPS the best.:bigjoint:

I can fit 30 one gallon bags and get anywhere from 20-40 grams a plant depending on the vegging.

EDIT: Plants in pic grown from seed under the 600 HPS.

lol wait wait, you veg under your hps?? is it just a blue spec bulb or what? and I like that sog method you use. how do you water all those? and that sounds like some weight at 20-40 g's per plant and 30 plants! :weed:
just might have to do a sog in mine now. guess thats probably the best way to maximize your space huh

Regular 600 bulb, nothing fancy. I am currently using half gallon bags for a run to see how much I can get out of them. As for watering, sucks. Have to take them out 1 by 1 check it out. The pic is only 17. Almost seems immposable that I can fit 30 right? But I do.:bigjoint:

Right now I am using half gallon bags for shits and giggles to see what I can do.

scribin' up on this one.. i'd take some clones to get your process started faster plus if you know they are females then you are like 2 steps ahead.. i like the area.. are you going to use any extra ventilation? that hood is huge you could fit like 5 bulbs in there.. lol
