Nb's 600w HPS/T5 Organic Basement Grow

ha yea I bought the AN jump start a day before I saw the video of Big Mike from AN suggesting H&G's excel over AN. will definitely get some for the next batch tho cuz Ive heard nothing but good things with H&G.

but I was wondering if it would really help considering with most scrog's you use less plants and let them just fill the screen so I wasnt sure if such a small screen would make a difference in yield. guess I could just make the screen a little wider that the containers. mobility is definitely the biggest issue that comes to mind when planning a scrog in my limited space so it seemd like a screen on each one would work. a little more veg time would be needed but I think itd be worth it bongsmilie

You won't get the full effect of a scrog if the screen isn't much wider than the pot. However it won't hurt. It will let you do some training before letting them go and support the branches. I would def do it even if the screens are small it will help.

i like the scrog concept. helps keep ur plant amount down (for legal reasons) and is good for support. u widen out ur canopy which is where all the light is focused (on the main colas) u can incorporate things like FIM and LST to get multiple tops and weave them thru the netting. im still workin on spacing issues for my design as well. doin a scrog on each individual pot mite be easier to move then like wat RF and myself are doin (scrog a 4x4 area) cuz ure limited to accessing the plants. but yield could def be worth it.

and about the cloning, i use root excel and superthive (which isnt exactly organic from my understanding) but it works. i also use a humidity dome for the first few days with a thermometer and a heatpad. ours root within 10days usually. i like to speed shit up since time is money so IMO its worth the money (if u have it in the budget) but ure learning the best way brotha from experience. keep it up

Im still a little unsure of what my plan of attack will be. it's between my orginial plan of a straight sog with no topping or fimming, just supercropped then sogged vs scrogging each plant. I remember bterz's huge buds and how he said that he only supercropped them and I would really like to mimic his results yield wise if possible. maybe I'll just try both half and half and see what the better technique is :blsmoke:

Hey man, it has to work for you. An idea though. You know those heavy duty wire cones that a lot of growers use for out door support. You could get one with the smallest end of the cone was the same size as you pot and cut the cone 12 -18" up from the bottom. Then attach your screen to the top. This would move witht he pots and add support to you plants. I don't know if you can picture this or not lol. Or you don't add a screen and just use the whole cone for support. IThis is what I was gonna do when thinking about removing my screen for next round so I can move plants individually.

ya bterz def got sum great results both rounds. and even with his first OG grow he made a few learning mistakes and came out on top. also mite be the strain. sum respond well naturally and sum better with bending or cropping. also depends on ur setup. lol so like u said experimenting mite be ur best method to find out wat works best for u. the info i gave u is just info ive compiled to help benefit my plan. so its merely for suggestions to help u find ur own method. hope it helps. u got sum solid peeps in here watchin so im sure ull get it rite no matter wat

haha yea I think I can picture what youre explaining. I was thinking Id just use some bamboo stakes in each corner of the container then just wiring the screen to the stakes. kinda like what I did on this little mini scrog i did awhile ago

I feel ya on each strain reacting different to each technique. would definitely be worth doing half supercropped and half scrogged then just compare. like you said, experience is the best way to learn. and I always appreciate the input. its nice being able to bounce ideas off everyone here who are already experienced in each department. cant imagine the shit Id be doing and trying if it wasnt for riu haha

great looking scrog bro.

great looking scrog bro.

thanks man :-)

I was just getting my feet wet with some cfl's and had done my research so I went with a scrog but ended up taking all 4 of those out of that container and mothering them

definitely want to try a little bigger sized scrog sometime soon here ;-)

**Harvest this week**

gonna flush them one more time tomorrow then take them down on wednesday and that'll be week 11. trichs are starting to turn more amber now and are super frosty. definitely better quality than what I had been expecting :-D I'll do a harvest update come wednesday

Wooo Hoooo!! Harvest time:weed::clap:
As for the bamboo and wire idea, I like it. I like the support you get at the least. I like the mini scrog set-up. That is sweet!

whats up fellas? I know Ive been slackin but its been a busy two weeks..

chop went good. they're all still drying and will probably finish by wed then I'll snap some pics. found some nice little white treats in my cutting tray tho :hump:

looks like we got a clone master on our hands. no better feeling then pulling a clone and seeing healthy, white, happy roots. just great!

Nice roots man. Isn't it crazy how a couple days trimmin will wipe you out? Glad to hear harvest went well bud, can't wait to see the final pics:weed:

haha i wouldnt go as far as 'master' quite yet. definitely switching up products next round cuz it seems like its race between the leaves yellowing and the cuttings to root with the AN products. seemed a lot more yellow than they shouldve been so idk, kinda thinking about returning the AN jump start root accelerator since theyre discontinuning it now.

gonna smoke some of the pull tomorrow tho, should be dry enough :weed: bongsmilie :hump:

dont lie, were all masters, in our own minds! i used dynagro root hormone, 100% success, if you needed a new one. im changing my nutes next grow too, supposed to be better, general hydroponic's flora nova, but i had no problems with my current nute, just kinda pricey, and flora's supposed to be way better. it is a very hot nute. good luck on the change, imsure youll do great!

This is my first time growing and I have three Bubblegum and three White Ice that I grew from clones. By the looks of them I have about four weeks left before harvest and am running out of room. So far I am very pleased with the amount and size of the buds....My questions are these; does it hurt to brush against the plants while tending to them and does it hurt them if their leaves are touching each other?

Thanks
