Nearly finished, threw naners.

This is a strain related issue that I have dealt with a few times now. A few strains Ive grown never have any issues, but a few others hermie and throw bananas a few weeks before harvest, just when they start to swell. I hate it cause I cant finish them out without comprimising the younger girls. DM reverse dont help at this stage and even treating with it when they are younger doesnt seem to help either. I never get "balls" when they are little, just the damn naners before harvest, so I know its not stress like light leaks ect... And ONLY certain strains do it.

So heres my question: Does anyone have any experience dealing with strains that throw bananas and is there any way to prevent it?

Some strains are just more prone to do it, especially at the end. I would avoid them although have you tried running one till finished as the pollen might not even be viable and therefore not impregnating your younger ladies? good luck though as nothing worse than a seeded crop

I never completely finished any but ran some longer than others and ended up with a few little seed pods in early development. I try to avoid strains like this, but I have had the bad luck of choosing ones that do.
