I need to know if it'll work and what kind of pump will i need?
i plan on using sprayers to mist the pot and have a flow of water running back into the res. it will only be a small system, any help on what size res for four pots would great to.
Thanks

I think the pump size really depends on the method of delivery, have you worked out the details on
building your manifold to distribute the water from the pump to the individual lines? There's many
different methods on doing this and this will determine how big of a pump you need. My guess is
that if you have 4 lines with sprayer heads somewhere around 400gph would give a really nice spray
but you could probably get away with less.

thanks disposition84, so if i got a 600-800 just to make sure i had enough would that be ok? is it posible to have a pump too powerful?

I would go with a pump that is higher than what you think you need. You can use a T split back to the res, and with a twist valve you can adjust how much water is going to the mist heads, and how much cycles back into the res. And circulating your res is a good thing too.

if i got a pressure gauge would i connect it straight to the end of the large tube or would i add anouther thin tube and then the gauge?

I agree more in this case is better
