Need a taller plant help!

SO my plant is 3 weeks old and has about 4 sets of leaves with lil leaves growing on those nodes. The whole plant is about 4.5" tall. I am on a 18/6 light schedule. If i switch to the 12/12 will the plant grow a lot taller and begin flowering?

It will but you would get about a gram dried it will start shooting up after a week what lights you using.

Depending on the strain, a plant can have the growth spurt when the photoperiod changes from vegetative to blooming. It can range from double to triple the size it initially was in vegetation.

Im using 4 1600 CFLs. And Its in some ceramic pot In some random soil. I really didn't have a lot of money to use. Next grow Im going to buy some seeds and really get prepared for my grow. It just doesn't seem to be growing rapidly. The leaves on the top grow everyday a good bit thats about it. If anyone has any advice on how to save my plant and increase growth please list things i need that would be awesome.

Do yo know what sex and strain ?

Thats another thing the sex seems like pistils like a female. But i still cant tell at 3 weeks. and The seeds were from my friend who just had some. Unknown strain

Also i did over water and the leaves are drooping so i think that might have some affect on the growth obviously. I am not going to water till tomorrow.

No one can tell you anything for sure without pics. Post some pics and you will get better answers.

First wait until your soil dries second if you really want height just move the light away some (stretching) and you could tell if it male or female w/o pistils cause calyx comes first.
Any way i wouldn't want to add height using cfls,it would be waste for bottom branches.And if you switch to 12/12 now you gonna end up with a 1-1 1/2 ft plant which would suck if you don't
have multiple tops.I 12/12 from seed and lst and got a shit load of tops and my plants aren't even 2 feet yet(almost).you should check my journal out https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/548050-12-12-bag-seed.html shows that big things can come in small packages.

Is there anyway I can create more lower branches. That way I can have a bigger plant? possibly top it and have 2 colas? anything?

you need to transplant to a bigger container and let it veg. at least another 2 weeks before going to 12/12.

when you transplant, place the plant about an inch deeper so it covers soe of that lower stem.
