Need advice on my HERM plant please!

Hi all, I'm new here and quite new at growing but have woke up this morning to a problem.

After 37 days of 12/12 my plant was showing all the good points with lots of white hairs in many different budding sites. Without me noticing it started growing male flowers as well - I guess this means it's a hermaphrodite! I don't know the strain as I used a seed I found in some weed I got from a Rastaman.

My question's are:

Should I let it carry on for a few weeks or kill it off now?

Will the buds continue growing even though it's no doubt fertilized?

I know it won't be the strongest smoke but will it be ok to use?

Some pics should be uploaded - the first one shows the male flowers I found and the second one shows how the plant is looking overall after 37 days of 12/12.

All advice gratefully received - Many thanks.

if it was 8-9 week and just a couple nanners i would give it a chance but full blown at 5 weeks.....kill it!

Not looking good for me then, is it??

So will it put all it's efforts into producing seeds now and not buds?

All that wasted electricity - this will teach me to buy proper seeds :(

I hate murdering weed!!!!

its flowers are already open not much you can do now. and yeh you can smoke seeded bud people have been doing it since the dawn of time! now you know the difference in the male and female parts next time keep an eye out. and clean your tent very well to get rid of the pollen thats going to be in it.

The one plant looks to be a full blown male. Toss it in a bag and put it on the curb for the trash man.

Otherwise don't make this too complicated for yourself.

What he said, I was like if its a herm, where are the pistils?

That thing is full blown male, if its 5 weeks into flower I can't believe you grown it for that long.

Yep.Definitely a male.Remove it carefully. If he is already throwing pollen everywhere..i guess you will have seeds wherever pollen fell. Not a bad thing if this strain has good genetics. And seriously..39 days in flower and you haven't even researched the parts of a Male/Female ? That's sad brother..yet a learning experience :) . Don't be lazy ;)

I've pulled it out ready for the kill.

Here's a couple more pics to show the pistils I was seeing each day and a pic to show the whole plant.

The male flowers started on a hidden rear branch and that's why iy caught me out peeps.

I still need to know if the seeds it produces will deffo be female because if this is true I will just give it a good trim and let it finish off. If not then I'll kill it tonight.

Thanks for everyone's input so far.

If it is a true hermie then the seeds will be hermie. You get feminized seeds from forcing a female to produce pollen sacks i.e silver cordial or whatever it is. If she/ he did on its own I would say throw away all of those seeds.

I just chopped one of my mystery seeds because it threw out a nanner.

I've started to keep my males; and my herms, and use my favorites in breeding projects. My last Blue Mystic has beautiful blue huge buds on it right now and is developing male flowers (it's in week 8 of 10) - I'm going to let the male flowers develop, and use the female pollen they store, and cross my herm Blue Mystic with my (reg) Female Bubblicious. In my case, I'll get maybe 20 seeds from my B.M. self pollinating. Your plant hermed really early; so you'd get a shit ton of seeds in ur bud! ... Now, that "rastaman" strain doesn't seem that good. So I wouldn't waste time w/ capturing its genetics - but, you could practice (collect and store some pollen or grow out the herm). Point Being. It's not all bad to have males or herms; you can do awesome stuff with them. #ARTofPollenChucking

True that seeds from my hermie turned hermie
