Need advice... supplemental lighting for perpetual

In a 4 stage perpetual grow, I was wondering when it was best to add supplemental lighting. To be more clear there are 4 tables in my flowering room, each with a light above. Each table represents a different stage of flowering, so which table should I add an extra couple hundred watts of led to? Should I add it to the table in the last stage of flower (flush) or the 2nd to last stage of flower? Thanks in advance.

Sunni And I... We Don't Have Lives.. So She Tweats And Rollitup, and Im playing Mario Kart and Rollingitup...Btw Sunni, When Are We Going to have That Date that we have always Fantizised about?

To The Original Poster..How Many Watts Does Each LED have on the Light? If it's 3 and under look into T5s as supplement. That's the real question really... I mean, how big do the plants get? If they're too bushy and you have low watts it won't penetrate. Put the supplement on all the tables, or just the ones YOU feel is time to get more light.

Maybe people don't help because lack of information... You don't say if this is SOG or how big the plants get or the lighting, you just say I have extra LEDs, when do I add them? That's what I got from this...If you wish to grow big plants in perpectual, look into HPS and GET that penetration you're after. No side lighting needed. If HPS is not an option, you have to cough up thousands to get that penetration from LEDs. OR look into Single Colas SOGS, there you will find that LEDS would work perfectly because of how short the plant stays... I'll stop babbling now

I'm going to add the lights, the question is at what stage in flowering would it be most useful? I don't really need to divulge anymore info than that, and I didn't want to for genuine reasons.I know LED doesn't penetrate as well as HPS, I know about what the other lighting options are, but LED is what I got. Now whether you think it's gonna be a waste or not, at what stage would the plants most want more light (the 1st stage, 2nd stage, 3rd stage, or final stage of flower/ it really comes down to the 3rd and 4th stage)? Simple enough...But to answer one of your questions, I'm willing to add 2 150 watt LEDs, but both over 1 table...

I never said it won't be useful. On the Contrary... It is, but I said if you had or got the HPS you wouldn't need it.

Now.... For some reason you think that side lighting in the beginning of flowering isn't useful? This is wrong. Because the more light = More Growth = More Bud Sites = More Bud.

So if you want Semi Popcorn Bud at the Bottom that won't be done at the same time the rest of the plant is... Go for it.

But I think it's best all throughout flowering.. Not just the last two weeks...?

You could also get away with.. What do they call it nowadays??.... Experimenting?... And just find what works best for you and yours.

Good luck

I can't use it all throughout flowering. It's a perpetual system, I was clear about that. And yes, I can experiment but this is a message board dedicated to marijuana horticulture, so I thought I could... what do they call it nowadays??... ask a question about marijuana horticulture. So... again... which stage to do you think would most benefit from the extra lighting? That's it, that is all I want to know... and it isn't side lighting, it's supplemental lighting, the led panels are gonna be hung above the tables not along the side....

Just a suggestion, now I only experimented with LEDs. I had my HPS cab, and I bought a tent, a 90 watt UFO, and put one plant in it just to see how I liked them. I didnt care for LED lighting so that was it for my experimenting. Back to the suggestion: u have 2 spare panels, what I would do is add 1 panel each to stages 3 & 4.

@amgprb - I may just do that, but I hesitate because the lighting would then be uneven because of the way the LEDs are shaped. I really want to put one on both sides of the primary HPS light instead of just on one side of 2 of my HPS lights, so that at least one table will have a symmetrical light pattern... but who knows?
