Need advice with a beginners setup

I'm wanting to take the plunge this fall and get a hydro setup but I won't have zillions of dollars for it. I also have to take into consideration the learning curve. Something that is easy setup and maintained in a small bedroom office. I've checked out a couple of Emily gardens, I already have a 4 foot long and tall T5HO stand with one veg light. I fully expect to invest in a couple of daisy chains to add more bulbs to as well. I'm just lost on all the jargon and such, anybody who can steer me the right way, please let me know! Thanks!

my girlfriend is doing hempy buckets and she is doing minimal work once every 2-3 days... while I'm busting my ass brewing tea, changing and mixing up 5 gallon buckets of water and doing daily maintenance on all of them. The results are worth it, but I started out with DWC and it kicked my ass for a while (still does).

So I agree with hempys.

im going to move over to hydro in the near future, but plan on going with a simple flood and drain bed, Im using beds with netpots and a soiless mix already, all i need to do is a little conversion work.

Ivenever tried Hemoy and I've been growing in a bucket flood and drain system for a full year now. It's pretty simple if you can dedicate like an hour to it every day. Sure you will run into problems but that's what these forums are for.
