I've never bought through amazon, so I can't help there. Ebay has a "top rated seller" option, does amazon? Does this company haave a very high consumer satisifaction rating? If not, I'd go with another seller.

Remember, you get what you pay for.

I got 3 lamps, 1,600W total, mid-grade entry level stuff, to my door, for apx $850.00. So far so good. There was cheaper/used stuff, but no guarantee...

try to email the company and see if you can get a response. Then see if there's a warranty on the ballast

Yeah the sellers as excellent ratings and the ballast has a 3 year warranty so I think I'll give it a shot. My guess is the bulbs really suck but for my first grow I think they will work. The 1000w is only like 30 bucks more so I'm going to take a chance on that one and see what happens.

i have an entire basement if I wanted to use it, however, I don't plan on growing anymore than 3 or 4 plants at a time. Cooling will not be an issue at all. Trying to choose my inline fans now.. My actual grow room will prob be about 5x5. It will prob be around 50 degrees on average in my basement so I plan to run my inline fans on some sort of thermostat where it only kicks on at a certain temp and shuts off at a certain temp, since I will actually need some of the heat generated by the light. Its all somewhat in the plans and I'm sure I'll learn a lot as I go, as everyone does on their first grow. But thanks for looking out....

I have bought 2- 600 watt apollo light kits and 2- 400 cfm fans all from this seller no problems with any of the equipment thus far and bulbs seem to be ok too. Quick shipping and stealth packaging

Missy ..how long you been running this package for? I'm considering the same light kit but I'm afraid of getting what I paid for ..and burning my place down :/

Been using it about 8 weeks now..no problems thus far.. and the ballast has hardly no heat to it.. just mildly warm to the touch. I am very satisfied..
