Need AK-48 Guru advice. When do I start a flush? PIK

I have an AK-48 at day 44 flower. Is it true one could harvest at day 48 or so, or is this bullshit? The hairs are just turning amber and the triches are 15% milk. No red ones yet. When should i start flushing? Nirvana states in perfect conditions one could harvest in 48 days, but normally 9 to 11 weeks. This plant is a gem to grow. Heavy feeder, she has HARD nugs, and so sticky!! No problems at all. In your experience with the AK-48, is 7 weeks too early ?

Pik's are at day 40 before hairs started turning. Nutes: AN Sensi Grow, GH LUCAS Bloom. No boosters.

man by the look of it i would i would give her a week and a half of nutes and then one week flush.. those trichs are looking bomb though. your going to have some serious chron once those budskies fill out

I would wait as well. When I grew her out I chopped around 60 days. Maybe start flushing as you get into the 7th week. It's one of my favorite Indica smokes, up there with a good Northern Lights and really strong euphoric body buzz. Excellent medicinal smoke for pain and sleep. I still have some regular seeds that I plan to breed when I have time to set up another space.

How did your trichs look at ur harvest to get as you described?

I started to flush at half amber hairs and flushed for 7 days before I chopped. I was really looking for a heavy CBD fully mature smoke. I didn't have a scope to look up close.

Thanks so much Gman and W33 . She's at day 45 flower. I did do one topping at the 4th node (Too chicken to do the UB method) and I was so glad I did. Seems all the colas were getting their full blast of light, it also kept the height down to about 28". Just checked today and I am at 30% red hairs and still 15% of the triches are milkey. Maybe I will be able to harvest a little sooner. She started flowering like day 2 of 12/12. Seemed quick. I just want to make sure I flush in time.

personally, i always start flushing about 3 weeks prior to harvest date, and 1 week before harvest, start watering with unsulfered molasses and corn syrup (2 tablespoons each per 5 gallons of water) and kick the lights to 10/14. you think you have trichs now...hehehe.....

I grew them twice...I cut on day 53 once and day 55 the other time. flushed 10 days before each time.

Will that work in 100% Hydroton? I've heard of that, using blackstrap the last week.

Did you regret it or did that seem perfect for u? Do you know what ur trichs looked like when u started the flush? I'm trying to gauge when to start my flush based on how the trichs look. I'm looking for couchlock.

I plucked at just the right time for me.

You did not pick the perfect strain for couchlock. AK48 has a good deal of sativa high in her. I'd wait longer if I was you then. TRy them at day 60 and then tell us. When i cut it was 80% cloudy, 15% amber with the occasional clear (guesstimate at 5%)

I know. What I should have said was "minimal" Sativa effect, the missis likes the brain dead effect ! I like it mixed but leaning more indica. I know there are 2 pheno's to this strain and I think I got the sativa dominant one so maybe I should stretch this one out longer

i'M GROWING AK48 AT THE MOMENT... THEY NEED A GOOD 2 WEEKS MORE AT LEAST, YOU WILL REALLY BE SURPRISED HOW MUCH THEY FILL OUT IN THE LAST 2 - 3 WEEKS OF THEIR LIFE CYCLE. YOU HAVE COME THIS FAR JUST WAIT ANOTHER 2 WEEKS OR SO.
