Need An Honest Opinion

Ok guys been trolling around this site for a couple months just reading and learning about hydroponic growing and led lights. Here's the thing I current live in nj where it's illegal to grow or even have a damn bong in your house. Any growers in nj? Not tryna get anyone in trouble just want to grow some dope nugs like u guys without getting hauled for it. Using leds for electric consumption any further ideas? Got a space for a 2X4 ebb and flow table in a spare closet. Another thing does anyone know if they look at the electric bills? I'm small time a do cops really come after ppl that only grow a couple plants for them and their bros. any info would be greatly appreciated

400w of HID won't hurt your power bill. Your xbox and ps3-4 use much more power. I ran 10kw next door to a gas station for four years and never had an issue. Here, if you pay your bill, the power co is on your side anyway (privacy act and disclosure policy). a 400w mh or hps will adequately illuminate a 2x4 with good reflectivity, or a 3x3 square. Good luck! Keep a handle on the smell is the biggie.

Hmm. I thought NJ had medical. If you don't tell anyone what you're doing, who's gonna know? You already know the three rules: Don't tell, don't smell, don't sell. Electric companies just want to be paid on time. A small grow isn't going to be a blip on their radar.
Local police might be interested in even small grows, I'd count on it. But how would they know? You see where this is going?

Thanks man for the reply. Me and my bro are gonna grow just for us. Decided that the led lights cost more but are so low on the bill. Any suggestions? How should I control the odor? I'm going to get a in line fan and a carbon filter. Gonna run it in a spare room. Is eight plants too much to handle smell wise. We're planning on keeping the door closed and add co2. But if the door is closed how do you recommend running my ventilation system.

Yea nj has laws but the law states that u have to go thru like 4 doctors visit at their specified doctor. Most insurance companies don't cover it so it's like 250 a visit. Then another 250 for the actual card. It's nuts man. I don't wanna see some shady ass dealer just grow some shit that I actually know what it is and enjoy it. Laws against weed are total bs.
