Need Experianced Guerilla Advice!

Hey everyone, this year im doing another grow this year will be my first outdoor season. I have recently changed locations and I havnt had my fire alarms checked yet. So I hope it happens before my plans, if not I have some work cut out for me. I have recently upgraded my setup to a 5x5 sj grow tent with 6" in vortex fan, big ass Can filter, temp controlls, extra fan SilverStar aircooled fixture, and a 600w switchable lumitek ballast. The whole 9 yards. Now few questions, should I run a 600w hps or a 600 mh before I put my girls outside? Can I lesson the amount of time I have them indoors if I give them 22-2 or 20-4 or will that mess up their cylce once outside? Also what is the minimum amounth of time you wanna veg them for before they go outside, so they r strong enough to not get stressed?

Live on the North Pacific so I plant in late may, any advise is appreciated. Experianced indoors this year I have a funny feeling, so go with your gut! Kicking it old school up in the brush I love the outdoors so we will see what happens. Basicly need my babies in and out asap 2-3 weeks 4 maximum from germination!

2012 it may be your last, so go big or go home. Find your feild of dreams :leaf:

i think you're asking how long to wait until you move a vegging plant outside to fend for itself? i typically veg for 6-8 weeks indoors because i like to top my plants a few times. running your lights longer than 18 hours a day will not increase growth, and may actually decrease it. plants need sleep. in 6-8 weeks i select my strongest growers which are usually around one to two feet depending on the strain and move harden them for a couple days by placing them outside for a few hours each morning. you don't really need to harden plants over a foot tall, but it can't hurt to help them acclimatize. younger plants need longer to harden
i like to start my outdoor in early - mid march so they're nice and big to be planted by early may.

the minimum is 2 weeks i'd say, but the earlier you expose them to outdoor weather, the higher the chances of a few plants dying from late frost, animals, direct sunlight etc..
be sure to harden them off if you're planting them young. heres a link on how to harden seedlings. http://www.ehow.com/how_12176_harden-seedlings.html

that makes sence i guess everyone needs their sleep even Mary J. What about hps or mh which ray of light would be better?
