thats not entirely tru these plants (depending on strain) go through a immense stretching period for the first few weeks of flowering. i threw a bag seed for kicks in my system mostly sativa at 6" and its at week 4 of flower and sitting at exactly 36".Why only 6-8 inch at flower??? The strain will be Grand Daddy Purp..... Does anyone know the genetics of this strain..
I was thinking about using (2) 600 watters on light movers over (4) 4'x4' trays... Would this be good???With a 600, you can do about 3-4 plants per sq ft, up to 3 sq ft. You won't be able to use the whole tray and get good bud density. 9-12 plants, clustered in the middle of the tray is about right.
Also, you will want to use a Sea of Green arrangement for best yield. Immediately after your clones set root, chuck them in to flower under the 600. Prune off all branching that pops up, basically denude the bottom 1/3 of the plant. Branches restrict airflow and produce leafy, wispy buds that are a bastard to manicure for little yield. Best to just not grow them. Removing branches dramatically improves airflow between the plants, reducing the possibility of mould; it also forces the plant to grow the big, dense upper colas and improves their size and density. SoG produces uniformly short plants that don't need a lot of lighted space and produces the best yields because the major budmass is in the highest intensity part of the pattern from artificial lighting.

I was happy with 4x 600s over 4x 3x3 trays... but I certainly would not want less light than 600w per 3x3
So (2) 1000 Watters will work for (4) 4x4 trays?
