Need help ASAP. new clones

They are really stressed during the day and at night is when plants extend or grow new roots so in a week they should start to look better just keep them misted during the day 1 or 2 times misting is all they need and keep the soil moist not saturated, as long as they're green and are turgid they should establish roots.

Clones have totally regressed.. major droop and discoloration.. I removed the blocks from the soil (no root growth outside the block) and put them in cups.. also put it in the most shade possible in my backyard.. Calling around for root hormone.

Bummer, sorry to hear that, they just couldn't take the light levels so high before they had established roots. They are in rockwool cubes correct? just put them inside under a 60 watt bulb if that is all you have for now any florescent light will do even in a north facing window they might still make it.

yup rockwool cubes.. for the life of me i cannot find a desk lamp.. all my lighting is on the ceiling. so there staying outside but found a shaded spot that stays shaded. I work before the sun comes up and get off after its beated down so they cant get optimal misting when it needs it.. Found some overpriced root horomone a few miles away.. would it help at this point?

Ones already looking better.. not so much for the other one.. i put them in 2 liter bottles for humidity and even though its probably to late or useless i sprinkled some root hormone on the top of the cube. tomorrow will either be the day these die or start turning around at the rate there going. The cubes were soaked.. so i know that's one of my problems.. i will take much care making sure this doesn't happen again.. Any other suggestions would be helpful.

The rooting hormone needs to be on the stem of plant that is below the top of cube, is it powder, gel or? keep the cubes out of the soil for now they might make it you'd be surprised at how resilient marijuana is. At least you've learned an important lesson as to the importance of having established roots before full light conditions I know no help to ya now I'm sorry if ya lived by me wouldn't be an issue as I give clones and plants to my community medical marijuana program, I will be in So Cali by end of year so at least there I could sell them, as it is we have med marijuana just cant sell can only be compensated for materials time and labor, Good luck I hope those units will survive.

yea i figured the rooting podwer was a bad idea.. but the clones are barely drooping as of right now.. they look sooo good at night and shrivel in the day.. hopefully the new spot will have just enough light.. at this point they look like there pulling through.. wierdest part about it is even though they have been drooping and browning a bit i see new growth somehow. you are right.. resilient is right.. ive tortured these things and they are still growin.. one barely fits in the 2 liter any more ( width wise) so ill be looking for somehting new to put them in.

If they're coming back at nite they are still doing their thing trying to establish roots, good job, singlmost if these girls live they are gonna be some strong resilient plants that will produce excellent bud for ya I've had clones that went thru hell and made it when all was said and done those plants turned out to be the best of the crop had the most dried weight and resisted bugs better tasted the best so hopefully those girls will hang in there and you'll be smiling come harvest time.

They LIIIIIIIIIIVE! lol... there looking great at this point.. think i got the light levels just right. the rockwool is drying out so its not sopping anymore and it has a healthy looking green to them. there barely fitting in the 2 liter bottles anymore so im going to have to do something about that.. they can grow up against the plastic for a little while right? either way im super stoked.. Ive got 5 gallon pots with a 50% fox farm ocean forest, 10% perlite, 40% warm casting and ill be using iguana juice grow when im ready for it. Im sopposed to get a heat wave this week so ill add a additional misting in aswell. I bought the juice off ebay before i knew it had a shelf life so im a little worried about that... sais to start at 3/4 tsp per quart so im going to start of at 1/2...

Personally I would remove the dome as soon as they start touching the dome.
But that is how I do it.

there wide but not touching the dome yet.. i have 2 fan leaves pressing against the plastic.. and Mojizzle.. you can order seeds from lots of places just google or do a search on this web site.. there will be plenty of info on it.

Congratulations on your plant's recovery!

Something to remember about clones.

Never let them wilt.

A few other "nevers"...

Never assume just received clones are rooted, "enough". Always keep them in a dome for a few days, slowly weaning them to the open air. Mist them frequently.

NEVER place any plant in direct sun while under a dome. Temperatures can reach 180 degrees in a very short time. If it MUST be outside, the north side of a house that gets no direct sunlight is best, at first.

When using a dome, NEVER keep it air tight. Even unrooted cuts need a continuous, if small supply of CO2. I leave a small gap, like a half inch at first, and mist several times a day.

Go to your supermarket, the Salad Bar. Buy some salad in one of those large plastic togo containers. Cut at the hinge, and wala you have a dome.:peace:

Update: so this is day 8 and if youve been following my thread you know ive been having some problems.. so im back because i think i may have a problem again.. but this time minor.. i hope.. The plants still doing well.. they havnt wilted once since i corrected the light and humidty, but now the fan leaves on one are yellowing and both the plants have browned( dead looking) tips to the leaves. They get two mists a day but i think the rockwool cube may be drying out to much.. would that explain the browning?

Are the cubes sitting in the cups? if so and you see roots coming out the bottom of cube plant them in whatever medium you are going to plant in and start their nutrient regimen. Could be a few different causes for the tip browning, heat, too moist, lack of nutrients but once you start feeding them this should clear up also should stop the yellowing. Once you do plant them with established roots take the humidity domes off, they’re not needed anymore and could burn the plant once out in full sun. Good luck.

no roots yet... thee just sitting on a thin layer of gravel i put in the 2 liter bottle to make the cube sit flat. I think i put them into major shock when i first got them which is why there are no roots yet.. they got to be rooting though.. there 98% green. they practicly look like my first picture on page 1 just alittle bigger with tiny new grotwth on both at the top.

If the plants are still rooting, they are drawing carbs from the sun leaves.

This is normal.

You'll know they are well rooted when the tip(s) begin to show new growth.

As soon as you are sure a cutting is rooted, it should go into a larger container, dirt or hydro.

Young rooted clones are HUNGRY.

Feed lightly and frequently.(I usually recommend 1/3 of label recommendations, twice as often.)

my soil mix is already pretty strong.. when i do move to big containers should i still use the nutes? and what is the expected time for rootin.. from what i hear it could take up to 3 weeks.. is that correct?
