This is currently my first grow and last night i turned a small heater on to bring my box up to a higher temp since i live in the north east it has been about a average of 20 degrees the last couple of days. I went to check my plants today and found this. i watered them with a lot of water and am praying. IS IT TO LATE??photo 1.JPGphoto 2.JPGphoto 3.JPG

i wouldnt water it again for a while if u just give it a lot, give it time to recover and it will probably live. its still greenish! just relax it'll probably be fine

just remember its a weed it will fight to survive! as for fertilizer it depends on what grow medium your using. your plants wont need nutrients for at least the first 2 weeks of there lives and a good quality soil can last about a month or more of vegging

When you water make sure that you don't leave the edges dry like your pictures. Young roots and dry soil don't mix. A smaller pot on a heating pad under a fluorescent tube or two is a great way to go. Good luck!

First of all never use a heater. They suck every bit of the moisture out of the air. As for the plants, I wouldn't get your hopes up but there is small chance they will come back.

i dissagree with kagecog about a heater because i live in the ny and its cold here this time of year, but the heat needs to be away fro them only to mantain air temps at 75, but a heating pad for plants would be better with contains on h.pad smll box of some sort with a florecent light on top and have a cover on it to keep the cold off them but be carefull not to let it get to hot 80 max 75-76 better so you might need leave top open a little or cut vent holes in box to matain the correct temp. young plants love warm soil if soil is warm air temp can be a little cooler

I agree as bottom heating is a long-proven technique to keep plants healthy and growing in colder-than-desired temps. Also totally agree with the small CFL directly over them - almost touching - in 6500K. 13 to 23 watt is fine at this point. One for each plant in a cheap bowl reflector. All usually found at Lowes or such.

If i use my heater and use a vent would that be something i can do? Im growing on a budget the first time and really dont have the money to buy the pads. Is this something that could work or should i suck it up and buy the pads.
