If I had the moeny to burn I would go with the ebb and flow buckets.

But I wound't, I would jsut make my own, In fact I am going to, next month.

Sounds logical. Now where do you keep the rockwool cubes while you waiting for the leaves to open? Thanks.

my method is simple and is working good, germ seds in paper towel, when tap rot shows put in a rocwool cube onder humidity dome when sprout popsand leaves open into a hempy bucket , water, and wait to harvest.....

anybody seen this. the fogger. i saw one at the local shop. it is amazing. hydro shop guy said the flowers he had in it only took 2-3 days to root. and you should see the roots. they also have a set up for flower. bigger containers, but it is expensive.

i didn't like flood and drain because of the mess, and destruction if something goes wrong or breaks down. then again i am out of town 4-5 days a week. if i was home every day i would do it.

any hydro store or online, but in reality everything you need to start a hempy bucet grow can be either found aroud the house or purchased at walmart... if you want you can go to the hydro store and get your nutes, but if you find some decent soil nutes, that will work also.... check out the link WWW posted for more details

Thinking of going hydro myself and have a question. The hydro ebb and flow system that I have seen has two gallon buckets. Is this enough to support a 4 or 5 foot plant. In soil my experiance is that you need a 5 gallon container. Does this differ with hydro systems?

I would recommend the General Hydroponics Waterfarm drip system. It works great for me! You can find the 8 pack for under $300 shipped if you search around.

Well think you could get at least some of these various techniques to work in unison. Sprout your seeds in AG..move em to the buckets...and/or the DWC..which really I think is a larger version of AG...or it could also be smaller if a person had a mind to do it. Shallow water culture perhaps? But if a person had enough room they could get em all in the propa frame of reference. All it take is nice big or small heated barn with hot and cold running water...gas and elec service..and a coupla of oil wells to afford all this stuff. Fella could move to Jamaica and peddle Ganga if they had this kinda of expenditures to grow a little rope.

LOL , great breakdown BigWheel +rep for you. - Yeah, you could try each system that has been mentioned and spend a small fortune... lol

This is great advice! But you are still looking for more? More what? Tell us what you are thinking about what's been mentioned so far!

I just moved two DP Twilight sprouts and a Fantaseeds Shiva seedling into 6" x 5" x 7" hempy buckets. I'll keep you posted on how it goes but so far everything is looking Very Nice indeed.
Would love to hear how your hempy is going...

hi everyone...well im new to this site and i cant really decide which HYDROPONIC SYSTEM to use. i would really be happy if someone would help me out.. here are my two main options

Okay, maybe I see what your real delimma is, you want people to only comment on these 2 systems. Is that it? Well, if you have the space for it - choose the first one. If your space is limited, then choose the 2nd one. But in either case, you would be better off (financially) if you build your own. Just check the GROWFAQ for directions...

Do It Yourself...now!!!!!!!!!!!
Exactly!!! +rep to you Babylonburn...

bump...................
Dude, you can keep bumping your thread or you could go and grow some weed, so you have something to smoke. Which makes more sense? Well I guess that you will just keep bumping your thread, without asking any questions about the systems that have already been presented to you. What a waste of time and knowledgeable people!!!

Make a AERO system. It might be more money now.. but the growth is the best of all hydro setups I've seen.

It is the end yield we all look for.. spend the money now.. it will pay off in the end.

Well just punch hempy bucket into a search function and you can read all about it. Now there does seem to be some debate on the best growing medium. I think White Widow say he uses all Perlite..and some other fella say to throw some vermacelite (sic) in there with it..then this one fella say to use some stuff called Turface. Got me to doing a little research. It is available under several trade names used in various soil ammendments ect. Lowe's has a least a coupla versions of it under the Scotts and Schultz brand of lawn additives. Supposed to really lossen up compacted soil etc. Its highest calling seems to be in drying up wet athletic fields particularly baseball fields. Now I found this one big half/assed wholesale store down here called Lesco which peddles high quality stuff to retail landscapers. Well they got that Turface in 50 lb bags for ten bucks. Might wanna check that out. It some kind of kiln fired clay that holds water tightly to its bosom.
