Need help fast

I germinated and planted about 80 seeds and its been about 10 days now and i have 51 good sprouted seedlings growing under 2 cfl lights, and another room with 1 250W MH. Im wondering what is the best way to determine the sex of my plants? im trying to get 100 females by the end of May, as im planning to grow outdoor

Assuming that they aren't autoflower strains, you will have to start a 12 hr. daylight/12 hr. darkness photoperiod. Resist the temptation to turn on the lights to check progress or tend your plants while the lights are off. Unless you somehow have acquired a pair of 1000 watt CFL's (no such animal) you will find that your lights are inadequate. Even with the 250w MH. I would be a little less ambitious and aim for about 10-15 females to put out in May at the most. That is unless you plan on getting far more lights and possibly more room. 100 girls to take care of requires planning and resources.

he is asking about seedlings which if put under 12/12 will do absolutely nothing untill they mature in a month or so. then you can tell males from females after you put them on 12/12 light which males show up faster then females. 250 watt mh isn't enough for 100 plants nor the cfls the end of may won't happen outdoors though by may days are too long.

Thanks carl some good info, i know my lights suck but im not to worried, i still have a question.. i have 51 sprouts with their firts set of leaves i think i should let them grow for about 3 more weeks, but after i want to determine the sex of my 51 sprouts to get rid of the males, how should i go about doing that? the 12/12 then re- veg? then i want to take what i have left for females and clone as much as i can before the end of may when i move them outside, will i have enough time?

i would not set 51 seedlings on a 12/12 schedule and then re veg as you will stress the hell out of the young plants so even if they are all female when they go back to veg then back to flower some may end up hermied from this. you should have set up a couple nice mothers and took 100 clones if you wanted all females guaranteed. anyway there is not really a good way to tell if all are female the best way is to get as many to germinate and just let them go and eliminate the males as you go you may not get 100 fem but you will still prably end up with quite a bit thats just the name of the game when messing with seeds this is why i prefer clones much easier.

I agree with the dr. Clones are where its at. Pick the best 4-6 seedlings and grow them until larger, sex a clone from each, transplant the best female into larger container, continue to veg until you have enough to clone. That might sound like alot of shit, but trust me, its alot easier than sexing 100 females indoors at once.

Or ditch the current project, get better lighting, chose some quality feminized seeds from a reputable breeder such as those on Attitude/Nirvana seed banks and veg. for 1.5 months and clone the best looking mother(s). I'm a big advocate for the whole risk vs. return scenario. There is little point in going to the trouble of what I assume is a guerilla grow with unkown genetics, unknown sex only to have it possibly discovered by LEO, animals or a hunter. "Johnny law" is unlikely to be able to indentify if they are either sex. He only knows it is cannabis and will estimate the final yield at around 5lb./plant ( yeah right) with a street value in the millions. The other thing is you will learn more in your first grow(s) with a smaller, more manageable sized project than a large, willy-nilly grow. I've seen a ton of people get overly ambitious with their inital grows only to get frustrated with how much time it actually takes to manage it.

This should be worth a chuckle............100 plants under a 250 and some cfls. Oh ya, take clones to sex.............
