I've been on a search for a while and haven't had any luck.

I'm looking for something simulare to this: http://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-CS53521-Socket-Vertical-Hanging/dp/B0055F571C/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1352850945&sr=8-4&keywords=light+fixture+cord

Either that, or one with multiple sockets.
They need to be cheap.

Thanks for the help. :blsmoke:

Ring is correct....i have seen them at walmart. Just purchased a 12x18 sheet of sheet metal and bent it by hand to make a pretty sweet reflector as well!

Homedepot also sells full lamps like you want with a heat reflector for 7 bucks. I prefer JohnnyPotHeads idea though I just take what I can do some basic splicing and make your own fixtures haha

I basically do the same thing. I use old lamps for thier sockets. just test them with a meter for shorts before you plug them in.

i made a cheap over head hanging light for about 25$

then i put the double socket on both sides and running 4 200w cfls.

and for my side lights, i used old milk jugs. cut down the handle, shoved the cord in there and used a zip tie to keep it closed up good.

I friggin love it. why is everybody spending big coin on all this prefabbed stuff. Especially if you have a small grow. be resourceful and make things work.

i got it at local store in my town. its actually used for chimneys, its about a 10" round sheet metal. then bought some cheap 1x10 for the sides. i held it to the size i wanted, and the girlfriend used a pen to trace it then cut it out. then used that one as my copy for the other side. can used either nails or screws to put the top on. start from one side to the other (honestly its a 2man job if u want it all lined up to hang right.). then rigged a hanging system on the wooden sides, using some plant chains from walmart. after light bulbs and materials total was around 60$ for 1000w (259.7 watts of actual CFL watts )of 2700k cfls and hanging light. very compareable to 250$ led lights and a Hps bulb excluding hanging light system.

i got one female out of 3 plants. i hope i pull good results for cfls.

but sig ive never flowered with CFL i mean i have used them for veg bc i like how close i can get them and not burn my plants and cheap on my power bill but flowering i heard it makes the buds airy not so much with the HPS they make them dense so each bud weighs more idk im still kinda new lol

I think light and airy buds can be achieved with any light if not providing enough lumens. I used 2700k and 3000k CFLs from the start, and only added a few more for flower. I don't feel that my buds are light and airy, IMO. but then again, I still have 6 plus weeks till harvest.
