add water to the perlite, and mist untill you see prim. knots forming then stop misting. but alway fan often like 5 times a day to get co2 out. you should see pins from 5 days in f/c to has long has 21 days....so be patiant. what you doing cakes huh?

yeah just doin the quick mixture verm, brf, water..ive never grown these before so i was just gonna take it easy..fan often huh..well i guess id need a whole sterilized room then..not just a small space with small light..might be a bit more difficult..and you said yes add water thruout the whole fruiting stage?

just make sure you have soaked the perlite..... it keeps humidity up for the process of fruiting..... as for fanning the chamber out, yes, its DEFINITELY a good idea to, dont worry about mold or other spores when you fan, the mycelium are already established enough to fight off anything.... I've grown mushrooms before, its really easy.... and if you wanna increase your yeilds, after you have picked off all the mature mushrooms (right when the veil brakes), youll have some buttons left over, take the cake and soak in COOL water for 24 hours and then roll your cakes GENTLY in vermiculite and place in the fruiting chamber again, more mushies will grow... ive done this and it work every time... after those mushies grow, you can keep soing the water bath and verm until all the nutrients run out..... I hope this is helpful :)

Yeah I would stick to the cakes until you are comfortable...then you can case the cakes if you want by crumbling them up and put a casing like 50 verm 50 peat moss. I use the seed starter mix too, jiffy mix.
