Need Help! Is My Plant to Small?

i have a 4 week old skywalker plant that i got from clone. i am currently growing it in a 5ft tall 2x2 squared grow tent. i have a 85w=400w daylight cfl in there, i have another 300w equivalent cfl but it is soft white, i was saving it for flowering because it isnt the right spectrum for veg. what i need help is do you guys think she is too small for being 4 weeks old. and if so should i throw my soft white light in there?

Agreed, little bit of stretching, cfl's being cfl's, but looks nice. Maybe some more bulbs, from what i'm aware you just want to ignore the equivalent ratings and it's the actual wattage you're interested in.

yeah i dont know why oits stretching tho because i have the light 1-2in about the plant so it wont stretch but it still grows tall and i just have to keep moving the light up..... do you think it would be a bad idea to put my soft white light in there? i would have over 150w with it but i dont know if the spectrum will do any harm

Go ahead and throw that other light in there, the plant will benefit from a mixed spectrum of lighting.
Not familiar with that strain, but if it keeps stretching like that you may want to consider to start flowering soon.
Looks nice so far, good luck with your grow.

i have been reading that this strain is indica dominant so i dont know why it isnt so bushy

If it's not stretch caused by lighting, it could just be a bad phenotype, they are dotted around the place, some breeders have more than others, might want to read up in LST as this will largely negate the stretch. CFL's are only good for a handful of inches as you know so best to try and train your plant so that as much of it as possible will be receiving the lumen's, not just the top little bit.

thats funny that your recommending LST.... i had already planned to tie her down yesterday lol so she will most likely be tied down by tonight.... where should i start tieing

There are a number of way to LST, you can grab the top and tie to down to the side. You can tie it along the side of the pot so the plant wraps around the inside of the pot. You can tie down just the new growths. You can't really mess up with LST unless you push it to hard to fast and break the stalk or break a branch off.

which way would you recommend to bam? and if you could be as discriptive as possible it would be appreciated.... what im really confused on is there a better side to tie her down? like the way one side is growing better then the other which sould i tie down not facing the light... the stronger side or weaker?

Here is what one of my plants looked like after LSTing it, it was about a month or so old at that time. You could bend it so that the weak side is up, and then slowly bend the leafs on the strong side up, it'll all naturally grow upward.



BTW, I use plastic pots and drill holes in the rim, so I have plenty of spaces to tie strings to, but you can always tape the string to the side of your pot, or you can tape the edge of a fan leaf to the pot, just don't cover up a whole lot of the leaf.

nice man thanks alot, this will help me out alot, so it turns out i wont be tieing her down today because it got too late because i went hiking up to this waterfall that you jump off of =) so i will for sure do this tomorrow!
