I started a bunch of seedlings, they are currently in small 1 x 1 foam starters. they are gettin too big and will start needing nutrients soon. i need to transplant them in something small until they show sex...after showing sex i can transplant into square pots for the flood and drain flower room. any good ideas for transplanting from the 1x1's?

i got a flood and drain system for the flower room.

If it were me I would just go ahead and transplant into the final medium/container, put them under 12/12, and weed out the males as they show. What medium are you using in the pots during flower? Were you planning to veg them out a little before flipping the lights?

i use hydroton when i do the transplant. i got 30 seedlings goin. i got to narrow it down to 16...well i guess i can do more this round, less veg time.
i was going to veg them out before flipping lights.

Ehrm, my cuts go from fluorescent straight under a 1000. They generally have about 4 or 5 nodes. With seedlings, i'm guessing here, but if you have approximately 4 or 5 nodes you will be fine so long as the light sits at least 3 feet away from the tops of the plants and the temps are reasonable at the "canopy" hehe. Reasonable means like no higher than 82.

If your lights a closer than 3 feet and temps are running warm just keep a close eye on things. Also mist them as much as you can for the first few days and throw a bit of Superthrive or Thrive Alive...something with Vit. B in the nutrient solution.

You should be fine m8.

Only grow in hydro.. right now growing Fruity Chronic Juice, Black Widow, Deadhead OG, and NL #5... Got a Church going..was a freebee from the attitude but I don't expect much from it.

Going to try something new here soon to replace the Chronic Juice...

Koo koo, a buddy of mine grows deadhead og. Ill shoot you the link to his thread. Hes kind of new but seems to be doing fine with the advice from me and others. I got a NL going right now too. Have you tried that Deadhead?

I transplanted all the seedlings in little 3" netpots filled with hydroton. They took the transplant just fine and am waiting for them to start growin.

I use all 5 inch net pots in my flood tables, when i get extra clones or clones that need a few days more i put them in 2 inch pots, then put them in that little worthless spot between all the other pots,ya know, the empty spot in between pots that are touching on all sides.

The lip of the 2 inch pot fits perfect where the lips of the pot overrides the other big pots, this keeps the smaller pot at the same level with the big pots.

I dont know if that fits yer situation but its a nice way to place about 20 extra clones in a table full of plants vegging.

Cool man, i'll check out the link.

That deadhead is pretty nice. It is a stinker so I don't grow much of it. Has a sort of fuely/skunky taste and there are better fuely/skunky things out there.

The NL i really like though. A friend of mine started growing a few years back and ordered seeds from that website marijuanaseeds.nl --- I had always heard bad things about their seeds so when he told me he ordered from them I told him it was a bad idea. Well those seeds ended up being amazing and that NL is some serious shit. Trichomes all over the place and a great yielder. I don't have any pictures of it right now but if i'm still around next time i'll post some.

GL with the grow m8 and keep an eye on those puppies for balls.
