hey guys so heres the deal been choppin my plants one by one got an ak-48 that I cut down and hung up a week ago but its so dry where im at and they seem to be dry in like three to four days, which is too fast for the size of the buds. I then put them in jars but the smell doesnt seem to want to come back. Should I put them in jars earlier so they dont get dried out from low humidity or just keep lettin them get dry and be patient with the jars? thanks guys:leaf:

Mother's finest's suggestion would probably work a lot better.

I am having the same issues, but I went out and bought a humidifer for my dry room, i keep it at 45%-50% RH.

I have a little box that I hang them in but they still get dry in like 3 or 4 days no matter what I do. Maybe Ill just jar them a touch early, cuttin another one tonight and still have two to go so wanna get this right cuz the first batch has been jarred for 2 weeks now and smell is only very light unless breakin them up.

Jar them earlier. Just make sure you sweat the bud properly and burp the jars. If you wait too long in dry humidity, the bud will dry way too fast.

Thanks serapis thats what im gonna do, dry for two days then put in jars while they still feel a little wet. Before they were dry on the outside but most of the stems didnt crack after 3-4 days but I still cant get that dank back. Trial and error I guess

you can always dry more if they are to moist to be in a jar. If they dry out too much your pretty much fucked

Jar them earlier and just check as soon as the outside of the bud is pretty dry Jar it

the moisture will wick from the inside to the outside just check everyday to remove excess moisture. ONce there isn't much excess moisture when you check it extend the period of time between burps until it's reached your desired cure do smoke tests

I just went through this. I got a cool mist humidifier and put it near but not too close to the bud, this raised my humidity from ~16% to ~40%. Next after the initial 3 or 4 days I put them in brown paper shopping bags still with everything still on the stems to slow down the process for a couple more days and then finally into the jars. This was my first dry/cure and it actually has worked pretty well. GL
