Need Help On Lighting

Ok I'm kinda new to the growing game and I need some advice about lighting. I have two 42watt floresents. Since I'm starting late indoors, but its in a shed without heat I wanna grow it and try to get it to mature asap. I dont know what hours to use. 12/12? 24 for 2-3 weeks then try to mature? HELP!

Thanks man, but like if I put my plants under 24 hours of light for like 3 weeks, would I be able to just turn off the lights for 24 hours one night and they flower? Or would I have to keep doing the 16/8 hours to get them to flower asap?

They say that a plant will grow the same amount under 18-24 hours of light. So do either for your 3 weeks. Dont turn the light off for 24 hours like you were saying. I would be scared you would shock them. Just cut the light to 12 on 12 off. After a week or so you will start to see flowers.

You didnt read the link did you?

na man I did but my question was like if I put it under 24 hours a day and switched it to 12/12 would it take longer than 16/8 then 12/12, but you answered my question. Btw, the link really did help it answered some of my other questions. Thanks for all the help dude. :bigjoint:

No problem man. Glad to help out.

I just noticed that I put 16hrs of light on my grow room. That was an error. I ment to say 18. I went ahead and changed the post to 18. Sorry if that confused you.
