need help on trimming

hi guys, it's the middle of my 1st week of flowering my plants, i trimmed the large fan leaves to let the light pass through. is it ok? i left half of the leaves so that i can still receive light.

I guess you haven't read all the threads about trimming, pruning like you did.
I would be interested to see what your final yield is, since you pretty much have a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

anyways its fine if i did it the wrong way because this is my first time on growing.

i have not trimmed all the fan leaves. i left some fan leaves untrimmed.

i also started to get 1 clone incase that i will be doing something wrong. the clone is alive right now.

im sure it will survive. its weed. damn near immortal
a tip though, keep your first grow simple. dont go messing with the plant. just watch how it grows.

thanks guys! i'll be posting pics as soon as the top is covered with pistils. there are pistils showing now but not that plenty yet.

dont you have any pics now? i would very much like to see how you cut yo plant up ^^

im quite shy haha! alright i'll post some pics, but the pistils cant be seen much because im just using a camera phone. (too poor to buy those canon, nikon camera, i spend my cash on grass haha, and some other stuffs).

the plant is an unknown strain. you can see what i have trimmed on my plant, i left the leaves and just cut half of it.
the plant the im holding (which is the smaller one) is also an unknown strain that i also tried to plant and when it got big i just took care of it.

oh snap you got some work to do have mercy!

first of, you need really neeeed some bigger pots man.
second , you shouldnt cut the fan leaves...especially not in half
third , you will have to get stronger lights or put the ones you already have closer to your plants.
fourth , your leaves are starting to twist. either you need to get some air flowing where you grow them or your temperature is off.
fifth, do all these steps and begin to flower them.

anyways. i think you got some sativas with you ( them skinny leaves) but you need to flower them to see the sex (pistils =female, sacks = male ) if they arent mature enough .
so buy a couple of buckets or pots, transplant with a very low dose of nutes and see whats what

yes im planning to buy another pot, maybe a 3 gallon pot and some ready mixed soil that i used in my plant.
alright my mistake on cutting the fan leaves. i just thought that if i cut them in half the sun can pass through the side branches.
i put them on the sun in the morning and when its getting late i put them on a place where light can get through. 9except for the smaller plant which is still in veg, and im also planning it to put it in a bigger pot. (i haven't got a pic from the clone that i got from the big plant but i know that its alive because the leaves are like floating in the air).

the lights that im using is a three 25 watts of CFL together with a 9 and 8 watts CFL daylight bulbs. my other bulbs got broke like last 2 months ago because of my stupidity.

im planning to get an HPS or HID and use it in my clone and in my 2nd small plant.

im already in a flowering stage like it will be the 1st week of flowering this coming tuesday.
sorry about the pics, my camera phone dont have a good lens to take the pictures of the pistils in my plant. but im pretty sure that pistils are coming out on the top of plant. (i started to recognize the pistils last tuesday).

First get rid of the busted cd. Next bigger pots. Don't cut leaves like that unless your cloning. Are they outside? You might be to late if so.

hey how did you know that its busted CD? (anyways i used porn movies with hot chix in that cd as reflectors hoping that my small plant will be a female, it has a scent like fruit and grass or something).

i live in a 12/12 cycle country so i dont have worries on flowering my plant outdoors.

After 20 years of growing you can spot a few things. It's not helping you. It's creating hot spots on the underside of the leaves. 12/12 sun is great for flowering. I was thinking more of the temps and rain in winter. Or what ever your in now. Lol. And be careful of the naked chicks. Dikes like chick. Don't wanna grow a shemale.

my fertilizer says that putting it on 7-14 days interval should i follow it? or can i put small amounts like every 3-4 days or so.
