Hey guys I’m new to this forum and heard this this site wasa good place for noobs to learn how to grow. To start off I have never done a grow,so this is completely new to me. I have read on how to grow and done some researchon it but all that goes out the window cause you tend to forget what you read when you start your first grow. Now I know myfirst mistake was not haven to proper set up to grow. I was going to do anoutside grow but learned real quickly I got some noisy neighbors, so I had toturn it to an indoor grow, which I don’t have the means for yet. Second mistakewas using miracle grow moisture control 6 month feed soil along with theirtiming schedule always different which is my fault but hey this is just an experimentto learn for my next grow, what’s sad is that the plants I have one is Acapulcogold and the other is Columbian gold, got these seeds from a 70 year old smokerwho had saved all these seeds for over 30 years, had 60 AG seeds and 43 CGseeds I germinated 40 AG seeds and only got one seedling I also germinated 20CG seeds and got one seedling any way this has become more stressful thanenjoyable 1 plant has already fell down and broke a few steams, the other thelight fixture fell on it and broke a couple of steams off. Now I learn thatusing time released soil will kill your plants when you flush for flowering sonow I’m thinking about taking the plant up, rinse the roots off and plant themin fox farms soil. Is this a good idea? plants are like a month and week old. AlsoI’m concerned about the lighting I have 4 23w cfls with a total of 6400 lum. And20000k I’m going to be adding 2 more of the same lights tomorrow. I waswondering if you can buy MH light bulbs that screw into clap light fixtures. Doyou know if this is possible? Can anyone tell me why my leafs are turningyellow for? One last thing should I bud the female or hope for a male andfemale and make seeds?

I've never used miracle grow, never will.and would not recommended anyone to.I use happy frog.all you do is water the 1st 30 days, then I use ionic bloom and boost.my plants are under a 1000 Watt hps bulb weather in veg or bud.I check my Ph everytime I water!.leave some rock n roll on for my ladies.I also keep my temp at78/79.a little cooler at night(when lights off).I wrap my walls in white plastic.ialso chick for spider mites and things often,I've been lucky not getting them.but I still check.as well. as I.mist them every few days.been doing this way for years works good for me ..and for yellowing leafs could be a few things but I'd check my Ph 1st.it could also be the mg soil?

Yeah i learned my leason the hard way and thats the main reason i want to transplant them to some Fox Farms soil but im afarid of the shock it might cause to it. where i live its hard to maintain a temp of 78/79 when it gets 99+ down here. I did check ph it was at 6.8 so it might be the mg soil.

NEVER use MH or HPS bulbs in ANY fixture not meant for them- they can explode!

So far so good hun! Looking nice!

You have many options for soil-- some that you feed very little/seldom- some you have to feed weekly or 2x a week.. depends on what you want to do and what is available to you.

There is a soil called "M3" in Washington, Colorado, California and Michigan... all you do is water it ! It has enough n100% organic nutes in it to last until week 2 or 3 of flower- -you can either top-dress it before going 12/12 or feed them lightly with organics starting week 3 of 12/12...

Even the Miracle Grow all Organic is halfway decent, just add some pearlite and only feed very lightly... same with Fox Farms ocean Forest.... add pearlite or it's too heavy!
DON'T Feed for a few weeks... it should be enough on it's own--
but have SOME nutes on hand in case they need it- and know the feeding scheule for those nutes!!

Reading up on growing and what you need to have/know always helps!

I teach growing to "Newbies" at their homes and online... there are some links below to some info that may help you get a good start... it is by NO MEANS the only way or the best way, but is it the way we do things with new growers and is is successful... gets ya going so you can "do" while you learn more and make improvements! ;)

@ LadyZandra Thanks so much for letting me know about the bulbs and fixtures cause i was going to go buy some bulbs and put them on my other lights. The problem i got is that the MG soil feeds up to 6 months thats a little to long for veg. state. I heard that when i go to flush before flowering all the slow release nutes are going to release due to the water. So do you think i should transplant to differnt soil? @robweiser it was the MG because i feed it nutes not knowing it was time released soil.

Best bet is to replant--- how long have they been in that planter? What size is it (number of gallons)??
That will determine the best way to go about replanting without stressing them! ;)

Wensday will be 2 weeks and their in 3 gallon pots , the plants are like 37 days old and have had few mishaps like falling of the deck which resulted in broken leaves.
