Need help please

hey guys these plants i have had on 12/12 for 10 days now and they are still not flowering what the f... is going on? Do i count the flowering period from the day it starts flowering or from the day i started turning it to 12/12? This is my first grow specs

ure Power Plant strain from Nirvana flowering 8-10 weeks flowering,roots organic soil,soiltab and flower tab nutrients from Nirvana,four 1 gallon bags,ive only used distilled water,114 w intense LED from HTG supply equivalent to 400 HPS thanks Guys

Have you checked your room or tent for serious light leaks? Room needs to be so dark that after sitting in it for 30 mins to let your eyes adjust you can't see your hand in front of your face. And no obvious light coming through anywhere. Sometimes it does take 10 to 14 days to start flowering depending on the strain.

Have you checked the inter nodes? Is there anything forming at the internodes? After 7 days there should at least be a little speck of some sex starting to form.

In the past I have had them want to take their sweet ass time. I give them an extra 1 hour of darkness so 11 on 13 off. And that seems to kick them in a little faster. But once I set that timing I stick with it through the end. Never had any adverse affects and in fact have seen possible benefits. Good luck and happy Growing!

It's common to think that a cannabis plant getting 12 or less hours of light is what initiates flowering, but it's actually uninterrupted darkness that does the trick! If the plant gets any light during the dark period, even for just a minute, it won't make buds! In fact, a flowering plant may even revert back or express hermaphroditism if it gets any light at night!

ah so photoperiod plants will flower with an 18/6 schedule as long as there's no light leaks, I bet this is how Big Canna gets people to pay more for so called Otto flowers

From when it starts to flower. Don't use the given time as a gospel time scale though. It depends on a lot of things been perfect, zero stress, ample light, optimum air exchange and temp ranges ect. But at least it gives you a rough idea.

So my question to your statement is..... MOONLIGHT? How do them WILD outdoor grows happen?????

Hey, Nebula Haze from "growing weed easy" said that . That's why I ended it with Nebula. I've never let any light in during dark periods so I wouldn't know but... I agree a few minutes of light will only stop them for a day or so.... not end the entire flowering stage.

The short answer is... This isn't the WILD. These plants, and strains have been cultivated and developed as indoor plants.
Just cause dogs used to be wolves, doesn't mean a poodle or pug, or even a retriever can survive out in the forests!

Outdoor plants, and outdoor strains, are hearty as fuck. They experience, and have adapted to, high winds, higher temp fluctuations, incomplete darkness, and in many cases...pests.

Indoor plants are protected from each and every one of those things, to the point that we actually try to recreate some of the more beneficial outdoor conditions (IE;Wind, Temp Changes, Humidity/Dryness).

So keep that in mind good sir. That we ARE NOT dealing with outdoor strains, or outdoor plants.
People on this site are almost exclusively dealing with indoor conditions, and as such, many of these strains are far more sensitive, and delicate.

It's all subjective man.... Some people see rules and guidelines and take it as gospel truth. Others believe only what they have seen themselves.
A good rule of thumb is, keep their dark cycle as dark as you can make it.
A tiny leak may induce stress, but likely won't revert your plants back to veg.

The plant produces a certain chemical/hormone when in the dark. A sufficient buildup of it will induce flowering. When light hits the plant, interferes with that build up and can delay the cycle.
