no each node has 2 colas ie; 2 nodes - 4 MAIN colas, u can top above the fourth or even the 10th if ya like but youll get a bushy plant with alot of NON dominant colas. uncle bens topping for 2 or 4 colas thread is a sticky in advanced techniques. you can get the info there if youd like.

nah man, an average plant doesnt get that wide. i mean maybe like 50% wider then a 3 gallon pot. if you want to keep them narrow just do some training as they grow, or put chicken wire cages around each one ...attached to the pot. or do scrog and then youll want bushy.

Ya but my plants move around too much for scrogin, i need to be able to move around 16 1.75 gal pots in the tent the pots fit but the leaves dont its cramping them. I am taking 2 clones per week and vegging one week per clone then inducing flowering flowering them @8 weeks a piece. The math breakdown totals @ a total of 16 pots in my tent @ all times. thus creating a perpetual harvest. hope this is making sense..lol

without you getting upset id like to say i think your cooling technique is way off. you need to have neg pressure in the tent for many reasons.

instead of intake/exhaust you wanna have only an exhaust, a powerful one. along with a passive intake.

im assuming your 4inch inline is blowing thru an air cooled hood?

im almost certain you cannot control the smell the way your doing it.

if youd like me to walk you thru this let me know, i wont type it all if your not gonna change it.

Ya no worries im here for constructive criticism..lol but to be quite honesti have used these tents for several harvest's with no problems. I even had to go as far as calling the company who makes the tent i have, which is a growlab..the company's name is everest garden supply. Anyways instead of you typing maybe i can just reply with some pics of my whole set up maybe you'll switch your ways ...hahaha..jk when my lights come on in 3 hours i'll go ahead n reply again with the pics

The filter is a phresh 4 in. Inside the tent it goes as follows...filter,4in duct ran to the hood which is covered with glass, the 4 in duct is attached on the other side of the hood coming up and out of my tent completely. On top of the tent sits my 180 cfm hydrofarm fan then on the other side of the fan i attached 4 in ducting again which is being vented to my attic ...smell free. Now for the intake another 4 in fan sits on the floor bringing in fresh airflow. This method gives the tent a slight positive pressure due to the back pressure of the filter the air is more passive..it may be more resistant but its passive enough to keep my temps in the low 70's even @4 in away from the light..based off of a hygrometer placed above the canopy...

also what kind of filter are you using and how is it set up?

Your setup is very similiar to mine, same cap fan too. I have a 39x39x78" tent, my Hydrogarden is 3x3 and I too, have hoped to get a zip for plant but have no idea if I will or not :)

But, I do finally have it down to where I have been moving them in about 2 weeks behind each other and keep that perpetual grow thing going. My plants (Aurora Indica) seem to get about 4' tall when I veg them after 4-5 weeks about 12-15" tall.

i like yor equipment but im not diggin the setup that much. do you have two or three inline fans? and why do you have the one outside on the ground?i think your wasting alot of energyand its gotta sound like an airport in there!

3 inline fans...??? Wtf... I have one on the floor for intake and one on top of the tent to vent. Ya i could put the fans inside my tent which would waste grow space not energy. As far as noise there is nbo way to get around noise. My room sounds like a grow room. Whats it suppost to sound like??

the energy wasted isnt by having them outside the tent, its from having 'them' period.

you need only one fan, anymore is a waste of ENERGY and loud.

tbh you can stand to change it around quite a bit and i can help if youd like but it doesnt seem like you take constructive critisism very well so ill stop now. you can hit me up if youd like help rearranging.

that wasnt critisism... that was you telling me that i need to change my setup because its wrong when you dont know what youre talking about. im not going to use sticks to push my tent out when i dont have to. everest garden supply (the maker of the tent) and several other growers have told me that it isnt meant to grow in with negative pressue and only possitive pressure would be recommended if any. plus, it isnt any louder in my room than it would be with an air conditioner on. why fix it if it aint broken. i am a noob when it comes to hydro this is my first attempt but this is my third year in a tent. i have never had ventilation problems iwth my technique.

alright well i just confused myself a bit looking at your setup again. i suppose now im just curious for my own sake as i may be changing mine around a bit.
the fan on top is pulling air thru the filter then thru the light and out of the tent?

then you have one at the bottom which blows air into the tent?

which one has more cfm?

They both are rated the same. All the 4 in fans are within the same range. But how you just described my ventilation is correct. The cold air comes in thru the bottom and the hot air is going into my attic (i.e. a 4 inch hole i cut in the ceiling) as for the closet beside it it has no need for ventilation because of the open windows in my bedroom and air conditioning
