Starting my next grow indoors i’m gonna be using fox farm ocean forest. I know ffof is pretty high with veg nutrients and iv heard some people are good without feeding until flower. Is this possible and if so what nutrients would you recommend i use in flower? I know every plant is different and will need different things just curious of others experience with nutrients used with ffof.

If you are only going to veg 4 weeks you can get away with just your soil and then follow with bloom nutes for flowering.
Everyone has their own preference but I use Floranova Bloom.
One part. No mixing no matching. Never a problem. Good for new and experienced growers.
It also has enough N that if your soil charge runs out faster, you can start using it anytime you need to.

They make another bag for flower. Strawberry fields? Repot into that.
Any nutrients will work. I used general hydro. The problem I ran into using just this soil was low ph later on. Wood chips are in there.

I'd go with Maxibloom, same company/salts as Floranova, but in powder form (either one would work great). Here is a thread with all the info you could ever want about Maxibloom KISS https://www.icmag.com/forum/marijua...ertilizers/189616-the-k-i-s-s-method?t=191645
Once you start feeding with it in flower, just be sure to feed to plenty of runoff. Doing so keeps the soil full of fresh nutrients and flushes out the salt buildup. Good luck!

Everybody has their own, simple is always good. I like to start with FFHF until about week 4-6 depending on the plants then top dress with HHOF and that's about all I do, unless a problem arises and with autos sometimes by the time you see it, it's already too late. Keep it simple, lots of light, ventilation and clean water. Just my variation from methods employed by others here, tweaked to fit my environment. I am no expert by any measure or means.

I use advanced nutrients and I never looked back

Ur going to want to veg that in atleast a 3 gallon pot if ur doing 4 weeks. Look into the supersoil recipe its the easiest way to grow absolute fire. Just add water. Nectar of the gods is legit and general organics isnt too bad. Its a veganic formula. Always start out with less is more attitude.

I just did my first organic with bio bizz. But like some others saying. The General Hydropics line up is pretty top notch. After smoking organic grown i dont think ill be going back but I used the flora series for years with great success, especially in FFOF

Awesome to hear. I try to tell people organic is the way to go but most are swayed by the big ads they take out in the magazines or big booths at the conventions. Ur already ahead of the curve. Happy growing.

Organics absolutely is the way to go:D

Many people on these forums claim you don't get better flavor, those people have probably never grown organically in their lives.

I've started to do veganics and the flavor is even better then regular organics, just incredible taste from my volcano vaporizer.
Ive turned into a complete weed snob. I dont really even grow for flowers anymore its all to achieve that full melt dry sift or full melt bubble. I also have a rosin press so solventless for me. I try to educate those around me and try to sophisticate there palets a bit. I say bring me ur dispensary buds and we can compare. Im a trichome farmer now tho whole plants pretty much get turned into concentates for myself. I like the veganics the smoke when i amended with mostly plant amendments like soy bean and alfalfa meal turned out great. Ive been really nerding on the dry farming technique lately. Thats my final frontier this next outdoor season. Its gonna take a few seasons to find and breed some different genetics to grow here in Montana. Cash crop or fire? Theres sone good info for you RiddSon.

The yield suffers a bit. But the final quality is outstanding so its worth it. Nothing like smoking a bowl down to white ash
