Ok so i have had them in flower for about maybe 3 to 4 weeks, i used to cut off fan leaves (i know bad move by some), and they seemed to do very well and grow in good spurts, now they seem not to get good light below so i started to use the weight system on branches, but now should i remove some large fan leaf to get better lighting thru to more of plan because it is in slow grow or slowbud!
also i will get a bloom nut and any ideas for a low budget! i used soil, 400 watt mh/hps now in flower, i see once a week and water once a week now?

watering once a week might not be enuff you should water according to the plants needs, if your pot feels light then water, don't water at a set time when using soil plants use water at different rates all the time.

Try to wait for answers ppl don't always answer right away, but all good things come to those who wait ( lol )

First off never take off any leaves, unless they are more than 50% dead. Plants work on Photosythesis. All Books will tell you the same, ALL.
Second~ Fox Farm Big Bloom is cheap and Awesome, I use it every watering with 2 tbl spoons of molases per gallon.
And watering should be done when plant needs it, so being you are useing 1000 watt I would say almost daily, if not daily.
Watering should be done in the first few hrs of lights on, reason~ to allow the plants all day to soak up nutes and feel good and alive, fresh.
Those buds will thank you for it and they will grow taller than the fans so leave the fans be.

Thanks,
I just wanted to get the best of my light 400watt hps for flower, and i wanted to somehow get light to my lower branches here is what they look like today! its to late to cut lower branches off for clones, so i wanted to have the plant not waste energy if it won't bud well, i waited to long to flower out of control sluts :O) they are growing good. the bubbas are short full and stocky!

They look great, and it's not to late to take out the skinny little branches in the middle. I try and get them out before 12/12.
