Ran into issues and plants were stunted. This one was in veg for 2 months and has been on 12/12 for 8 days. All other plants (3) are showing female. Having a hard time with this one. Thought it was showing female but it never popped any white hairs. As far as the strain/genetics... I have no clue. This was a bag seed that came from some bud I got within the last year (?)20190507_145952.jpg 20190507_150108.jpg 20190507_150354.jpg 20190507_151204.jpg 20190507_150805.jpg I didnt happen to take note of the strain when I saved the seed.

Its female by default that the ratio of fems from the bud seeds identifies it as a herm and not male female grow.

One can never be completely sure but you see the logic used and after you wait another week im sure it will show some pistils :-)

CC,
Using medical terminology...I'd call that ambiguous genitalia. Hard to call...

If you had taken clone cuttings and put them under 12/12, you would have known the gender a month ago. And had a spare plant to boot...

Here's my little grow all of them together. The two on the left were topped very young (I was experimenting) the other two were topped about a month ago. I know that they are all small... but as soon as they started showing sex I decided to flip them.inCollage_20190510_182552332.jpg

I am still slightly worried that it might be showing both Male and female parts but only time will tell. I am going to continue updates.
Really if your plants herm you get a few seed zero you can do just pluck any nanas off. You should be carefull the rubbish written on this subject until you have grown a few all the way to harvest :-)

This is my first indoor grow. I had one plant outside last year that showed female and was beautiful. All I did was give her water nothing else. Then one day my cat decided to use her as a litter box and she died within 48 hours.

I heard somepeople say females out of bagseed can be the best to grow correct me if im wrong
No some idiots write bad info on herms and selfed seed but then some amazing strains have come from herms and selfed seed that mainly the idiots have no idea in the first place.

Beware what you read and follow :-)

I've heard a lot of people say not to because they are bad genetics and can herm easily.. but all fem seeds are produced my a female that made Male flowers so I dont see why not to grow them if you can almost guarantee female. As long as they are in a stable environment. This being my first grow I have changed a lot of things here and there.. resulting in such small plants and other issues (light burn, nute lock, etc..) but I'm pretty happy with how they are finally turning out even if one or even all of them hermie.

A hermie is really not that big of a deal idk why people make such a fuss about it at worst you get a few seeds in your bud not like a Male fucking the shit outta your bitches and producing hundreds of seeds.

I feel the same on the subject after the hours of reading and such I've done... I havent had the experience of growing a hermie but.. the way I see it, as long as you keep up with them and try your best to "nip em in the bud" (pun intended) and pull off the Male flowers when you can.. you should still get some quality bud off of it. And I'm not shooting for yields here.. just trying to grow a little something to avoid purchasing it..

Oh and I forgot to mention back on the subject of my plant thatvwasnt showing sex... this plant is stinking up my grow room already.. stunk even when she was tiny so I assumed early on that she was female but didnt want to worry about the hassle of a possible hermie

I learned to grow before there were fem seeds...so it comes as second nature to sex them and then make seeds to replace the ones I used. No stress at all. Otherwise you're locked into a cycle of buying seeds for every grow.

You can learn so much on here if you just keep your mind, eyes, and ears open and pay attention to who knows what they are talking about around here. I definitely was scared of a herm plant before getting to this site but now I have a plant that has shown 2 bananas very small and random and I was thinking of just letting the small random herms go and growing the seeds out someday because chances that they are fem are good, they were free seeds(auto seeds are expensive,) and even if they herm again the cycle continues. And I've smoked some of the best bud I ever had from herm weed from a buddy's white widow. I will grow the good stuff I have first of course. But put those few herm seeds in a little baggie for a rainy day.
