The best help I can give you is that Search Bar at the top of your page.

How to start in my opinion?

600w HPS, Happy Frog soil, ph kit, Botanicare Nutes, and a good fan.

That's it.

You have a long way to go before worrying about zeroing in on genetics... get the basics down before you try investing a hundred bucks in seeds. That money could be used for lights, fans, carbon filters, nutes... hell anything that comes up. You need a $50 "Oh Shit" fund just in case something happens and you need something you don't have.

Good Point , well i have been saving for this , and I am not starting tomorrow :p , I am going to use a tent been thinking about using 400w lights , I dont want to come up on the radar if you catch my drift . What do you think a good start up budget would be ? I dont want anything big been thinking of using 4 to 6 plants

I built my own 3'x6'x7' tent. Bought some 3/4" pvc in 10' sections from Home Depot... bought some $.50 fittings... and pieced it together myself. Cost me like $45. Wrapped it in panda wrap. That cost me like $30. So like $75 for my tent altogether. Oh, and the $10 self-adhesive light-proof zipper. Oh, and $8 for the gorilla tape.

See what I mean by things adding up?

I currently have my 3'x6'x7' tent with 400w of CFLs and 12 plants in 2 gallon grow bags. I rotate 6 plants every month.

Probably have about $70 in nutes. $30-40 for the Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow/Bloom... $15 for the CalMag... $10 for a gallon of Hi-Brix Molasses... and a ph test kit with some ph up (I never really use ph down, and if I need to drop it, I'll add a little more Hi-Brix).

So that's like $175 let's say.

Now you have to add in water. Unless you have some brilliant tap water, you will probably be buying about $5-10 worth of water a week depending on how you are growing.

Growing is an on-going expense... for your first crop especially.

Edit: Oh, and that's not counting your pots, your dirt, or anything else. Figure $250 for a budget dirt-cheap set-up like mine... way more if you want something fancy.

Always go bigger than you think you will need. That tent looks the tits, but really, try this...

Go into your living room. Mark out 22"x36" on your floor... its 3' by less than 2'...

Now put your 4-6 plant pots in that area, or your tray if you are thinking of hydro.

Now try to fit a fan.

Now try to fit a humidifier/dehumidifier (never know if you will need something like that since it's your first run...)

Now try to squeeze your arm in there to see if you have room to work around.

I think you will find that tent is too small for anyone but the smallest closet grower...

Edit: And my first grow went immaculate, all things considered. I am averaging 14g-19g per plant, but my first run only had 300w of CFLs... so still more than 1/3, but not quite 1/2g per watt. That's about all I could ever hope for...

Absolutely go with as much space as you can, you will want to be able to work easily in there.

The best advice I could give would be to find some premium home grown, get to know the grower, and then learn everything you can. Get your clones from that person after seeing the genetics in flower and after sampling the finished product.

If that can't be done, then pick a simple and forgiving program using something like ProMixHP as your medium. Don't build your own organic soil for your first time. Don't go with a hydro setup for your first time. Don't blow your load on $200 worth of seeds (but don't grow bag seeds).

Use clean water and a simple nutrient program. Always PH to the correct range for your medium (buy a reliable digital PH meter...Milwaukee makes a reliable, accurate, and affordable model...mine was $35 at the shop, so likely cheaper online). Alternate your waterings: nutrients, just water, nutrients, just water, etc. and let them dry out completely in-between. Keep your grow area CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. No, that's not an inclusive list, but just following those tidbits will prevent a lot of the problems you read about on here.

Try to get clones to start with, as even a seasoned grower can have difficulty starting seeds. Go with a tried and true light, (600w HPS with a sealed, vented hood), blower, and carbon filter (optional). Good luck, you're going to love it....or have a new appreciation of what you pay for good homegrown if this doesn't work out :-)

You won't need the carbon filter for at least a month or two until your girls really start getting into flower. Save the money and get a bigger tent. Easier to spend a little more now than to try and buy a new one later.

The one you posted this time is 3.3'x3.3'... that may very well be adequate for your small needs, but I would still recommend going for at least a 3x4 or a 3x5 for some extra side space.

Getting going is awesome, but you are asking my opinion, and my opinion is to get a bigger tent while you are budgeting for it. You will "outgrow" a 3x3 pretty fast in most circumstances. Especially if you are trying to do a perpetual.

In a 3x5 your 400w would cast a perfect footprint on the center 3x3 area, plus you would have a foot of space on either side to play around in.

Or do this. Go to a hydro shop and look at a tent and get a feel for how small a 3x3 really is on the inside and see if it's enough of a workable area for you. If it is, then you know what to shop for.

I cant go bigger thats all the space I have , until I move which wont be for now . Will it still be small for 4 or 6 plants ?
It says it could go max 16 pots of 11 liters

I have more room in depth . Then I have in width

Realistically speaking you are going to need 1-square-foot of space for every plant. Figuring in a 2 gallon grow bag, and some space for even light branching, 1-square-foot is about your minimum if you plan on running dirt. You would have 9-square-feet of space in that tent.

Figure you need 2-square-feet minimum for random electrical/fans/elbow room/etc. I'd say you could fit 6 plants if you squeezed 'em and went for small single cola plants. But I'm telling you, go look at a tent that size and then imagine six 1-foot plants in it. Workable space is different than pen-and-paper measurements.
