need help urgent. topped plant split 4 ways down the main stem in an accident

Hi there was an accident and the plant has split equally about down the main stem. The plant has been topped a couple times and it has happened where they all come together in the middle down the bottom. The plant is about 6 weeks into flower. It happened about 12 hrs ago and not long ago it didnt look dead but not gonig as well as it should.
Any ideas on how to fix this or get it a few more weeks into flower?
Thanks

Tape it together with duct tape or use a zip tie, I used both when I tried to spread a plant that had been topped twice. It split the same place as yours and is still flowering no prob.

I can confirm that this worked for me as well.
I used gray duck tape in my case .... no plastic ties .... so that they don't choke the plant as it grows. The duck tape was used to obviously support the plant .... keep it in place ... as it will heal where the split is .... you will get a huge big knot. I am not sure if light penetration matters ... gray duck tape shielded the wound from the light. I also sprayed the brake with water and rooting compound solution .... as the rooting compound kills germs ... and will not harm cuttings .... not sure if that was overkill but it did not kill the plant. In fact that plant produced more dry weed from the whole bunch.

Cheers

Yeah tie her up and she'll be fine. Take this as a lesson learned and next time tie and support your branches to prevent this happening again. Bandages work great for supporting the branching off the trunk. Ive used duct tape before because I had nothing else but prefer not to because its not breathable and doesnt let any air through to the wound. Not sure if that makes much of a difference to the healing but it works well.

I just had a plant split down the middle from the bud weight (wish you had my problems right?) and I twist tied it back together and it grafted itself together in about a week.

I saw one split once too from weight. Just kinda pushed and stringed it back together. It never rejoined, but was fine anyway.

exactly, a stem of a plant in flower will never rejoin completely after a split, it is too woody, it does not "breath" , it will not expand in girth, a wire or twist tie or tape doesn't matter as long as you give it a chance to continue nute uptake via capillary action. Tie the bitch up and forget it.

Dont forget about it for too long though otherwise it can cut into your plant as it grows so you should adjust it occasionally. Thats why things like bandages or elastic work well. Below are some pics to show what i mean:

This one had a whole branch broken off it

very true M, I guess I took it for granted that peeps would keep an eye on it, the zip tie I have on my bitch is only as tight to allow growth, knew it wasn't gonna matter in the 6 weeks left in it's cycle.
