Hi im starting a small tent need advice on light and fan .

im going with a 2x4x5 tent looking for 2x4x7 cant seem to find any for reasonable price. so i did research and picked a platinum led p300 not sure if enough. and for the fan i picked a 4 inch 190 cfm fan with carbon filter.

my question is would this be enough light and ventilation for a tent that size. all help is appreciated

Have you bought these items? If so it seems daft to ask after the fact rather than before.

The fan is enough as far as air exchange goes but would need to know your ambient temps to know if its enough to maintain desired air temps.

The light from what I can see is 180w ish, hard to say exactly as there are conflicting reports on its true wattage.

I would want 50% more power if it were me, maybe a bit more.

no i didn't buy anything yet my place goes from about 22c-26c

so ur suggesting the p450? or is there any led u recomend

the best bang for your buck would be to build your own light! search for quantum boards by hlg horticulture and get a nice setup from them, its a whole package and will fit 2x4 perfectly! Best spectrum, most efficient, runs cool and will last you a looooong time.

AH good.

Feel free to look about on the LED forum here or anywhere else and research what I recommend.

260w Quantum board kit. One of the most efficient LEDs on the market, its what I use per 2x4 of space.

I use the v1 260w kit, the v2 has just come out. Either is awesome for a 2x4.

Will get back to you on the temp calculation for the fan shorty.

Running that fan with filter and 260w you would probably see a 3-4 degree C rise from ambient, maybe slightly more, how much the filter impedes the airflow can only be guessed at, so I cant be totally accurate.
But a lot of folks like to run LEDs slightly higher temps, like low 80s, to help keep up leaf temps. So overall you should be fine, but if its not purchased a 5" fan and filter would be a better option.

LED strips or cobs may be another option for you if you take the DIY route that Kingjaygardens suggested, building it completely to your liking and for cheaper. Has more of an upgrade path as well. I think I've read that around 250-ish watts from efficient LEDs is around the amount for a 2x4 tent, I'd like to hear more info and opinions on this though.
