Need help with closet grow,PLEASE HELP!

So i have a closet about 3'x3' and like 8 feet high that i wany to start growing in...i have decided a CFL grow for now.I will be growinga clone of Girl Scout Cookie about 10 days old...what i need help with is finding the best soil and the best fertlizer...also the best setup for my lights, how many lumens i should have shinin, and exactly what wattage and how many bulbs

So let me get this straight... You're asking a handful of growers, that do everything differently to give you specific information on how to grow YOUR plants? I suggest you do some research and figure out how you're going to do it. I hate doing this, but answering the question is so hard.

I can help with the soil and fertilizer. It is agreed by many growers that Fox Farm soil works extremely well. As for the nutrients, if you are going organic use Fox Farm Happy Frog. If you are not going organic go with Blue Planet nutrients.

I figured if a few people gave me their input i coild make my judgement based off of what experienced growers have learned through trial and error...

With CFL, I had success running 100 ACTUAL WATTS for the first plant and adding 50-75 watts for each additional plant.

Keep your lights close, very close, to your plants.

How many bulbs and how many watts each did you use??i am planning on 2 42 watt 150 equiv. Bulbs over head and maybe some smaller maybe 25 watt bulbs on each corner of the bottom of the closet pointing up...does his soind like too much or like a bad idea

Definitely not too much as long as you can regulate your temps. I'll see if I can dig up one of my old journals so you can see what I had going on.

Dont use CFL for flower. Find a HPS, or MH. Its hard to get the density and yield you want with CFL.

GSC in soil is ok. I think it really blows up in hydro. I'm running GSC's in 30 gallon smart pots, top half black gold seedling mix, with a little bit of supersoil mixed in the top, and supersoil in the bottom half. Top feeding guano's and free kelp teas the hydro shop gives me, and pulverized egshell and old coffee grounds on top and they look good so far, they might need a little nitrogen tho.

formula for lumen's: Length x width then x's 2,000 So: 3 x 3 = 9 then 2,000 x 9 = 27,000 lumen's needed for you grow space. ONE CAN achieve good results with proper use of CFL's can purchase any were from 100 - 800 watts and are cost effective ! If you want site let me know (lumen out put will be on bulb package) Many use 100 watters and can be bought at local hardware/garden stores
