need help with quick question!!

when i turn the lights off for my plants do i need to turn off the the thing that makes the bubbles as well?

i personally havent done hydro yet but im pretty sure you leave everything on such as pumps fans etc. and only the lights, on a timer of course.but like i said i havent done hydro systems yet. im giving serious thought to it tho. hope this helps.
