pretty much i don't see any balls or anything but inbetween the trunk and stems are more leaves or at least that's what's going on in plants 1 and 2

yeah that'll happen to all of them its between the stems of the new leaves and the original stem that you should start to look for ball or drop shaped things with hair

well for 8 weeks i kept light on 24 hours. i used those cfl's (spiral bulbs) but the temp was getting to hot and it was burning them. they were surrounded in aluminum foil. now i have 150 watt lights and three of them. they are about 6 inches now from the tops where as they were like 2 feet

Vegging with 2 X 26W CFL's on a Y splitter works well... placing plants between bulbs in the Y helps avoid stretching....

cfls best light output is the sides, not tip, i seriously have the cfls so close you can only put two fingers between the lights and top, real thick plans not tall and skinny

see i heard switch to a stronger wattage since they're bigger. so i went from a 40 watt cfl to a 120 blue light

i have heard from many people that have used light meters on cfls and say for spiral type much more light comes off the end of the bulb than the side, this is because the light from the inside of the spirals goes out of the tip too.

heres a picture of my 6 26w cfl light setup. its from when i first started investing in decent grow suplies, now i have a 400w mh/hps system so i dont really use them any more... i will for starting off clones or seedlings tho. usint only 2 of the 3 hoods you see there i got 3 plants veged out with less than half an inch between nodes, and i didnt even have the "right" spec. i was using 6500k lighting, worked fine but when i got the 2700k it really started to grow fast.

you should be able to have those cfls like an inch or two away... unless they are real 150w cfl, then maybe 6 or so inches away. just as long as they dont toutch them.
