Hi all...this is my first post on rollitup and I have to say, it's my go to place for all things growing!
Ok...so I am 2 weeks into my very first grow ever! My plant is doing good and looking healthy besides a little bit of drooping, which I believe is probably a bit of over watering. But anyways, I'm going to be away from my home for 5 days and I need to put it on a temporary drip system...so here's what I've done, but I need some help to insure nothing goes wrong while I'm away...(BTW I will post pics soon, but have to find my camera!!)
Things I bought for the drip system:
-3 gallon bucket for the water
-ecoPlus 132 submersible pump
-5 feet of 1/2 inch tubing
-(1) T- connector for tubing
-(4) right-angle/elbow connectors for tubing
-digital timer with 1 minute programmable intervals
Basically I've made a little ring of tubing with the connector pieces and poked a few holes in it that will let water onto the soil. However, the holes are very small because I just want it to drip and not overwater my plant which is in a pretty small container (this is a stealth grow BTW, and I have my reasons lol). I WAS WONDERING if this could hurt the pump in any way since there is no release for the water except for those 5 little holes for the drip...is this a problem????
I was planning on running the drip only once a day in the morning while I'm away...does that seem sufficient?
Please help me if you have any knowledge regarding this issue!
Thanks in advance!
