Need help

this is my first grow and I’ve made all the rookie mistakes I live in a very dry climate humidity has been a problem as well as me being a worry wart and overwatering that stunted growth and extended veg state but I got everything under control for the most part and was making a good recovery until recently. At first I thought it was nutrient deficiency after giving so I gave them a heavy feeding which led to them getting burned. My plants were still showing deficiencies as well as burns so I narrowed it down to the soil ph being to high. I worked on correcting that it’s been a few days of recovery and I’m just wondering if I’m on the right path here. Like I said it’s my first grow so it’s all been trial and error for me I could have this completely wrong. I’ve watched lots of videos and done a ton of reading but none of it compares to actually doing it when you hit a wall and your just not sure if your doing things right. I am on a budget and have been slowly improving my grow set up over time but it’s no where near perfect. Here are some pics of my plants strain is GDP please no judgements only help

They look ok. As you feed more and more get some runoff here and there. This removes the old salt buildup and replace with new. They look root bound enough I don’t think you’ll have to worry about over water. So go with feed to runoff then water no runoff then back to feed.
how long does it take to dry between watering?

Oh and what’s your soil??
Mainly happy frog but when I repotted them I didn’t have quite enough happy frog to fill the containers so I took a small amount of some other potting mix I had on hand I’m not sure what brand it was or if that’s what threw of the ph. It wasn’t much but I mixed it with the happy frog and my perlite so it’s possible.

Usually they take a few days to dry I flushed them a few days ago to try and adjust ph waited till they dried out and a couple days ago gave them a small feeding now that the ph is better. It goes down to about 6.8 when I water them then as it dries the ph rises which I read is normal the soil ph is reading close to 8 again but they almost to the point of needing water again. I also did a foliage feeding just in case the soil ph is still weird idk I think I’m doing too much sometimes you can watch too many videos to the point where your just not really sure what to do anymore and that’s about where I’m at now. I just need to be pointed in the right direction. Not sure if I should do a feeding or normal watering when they do dry out this time.

I was issuing distilled water for a while but that got old fast. I’ve been using tap water that I let sit out for a day or so before using. The light is spider farmer 1000 led light I just have a small 2X3 spider farmer grow tent setup

Well when you flushed. If you did it right theirs no food now so I’d feed. Runoff when you feed so like a gallon of runoff. This next feed I don’t think needs runoff because of the flush. But as you move forward you’ll want runoff.

I’m using fox farm trio. So when I do a feeding make enough with the fertilizer that I get about a gallon of run off is that a gallon per plant or combined?

How big are pots? I’d say 5 gallon pot should get 20% runoff so a gallon. If your smaller then just stick to 10-20%
If you feed low then you don’t need as much. You kinda have to get a feel. Like say you’ve fed her three times now well then it’s time for runoff. Or say you fed really heavy and let it dry out then you need runoff.
don’t let them get dust dry. Then you need runoff.
hope this helps.

They’re 7 gallon pots so a gallon should be good and yes it’s been super helpful thank you so much! These plants have been in veg for forever now with the ups and downs of my mistakes I’m really just trying to get them healthy enough so I can go to flower but I think I’m a ways off from that

At this point they really just peat with salt fertilizer. Ph your feed water around 6.5-7 ish EC at about 1 and you could feed every watering. Let the plant tell you what she wants.

Oh with my soil ph being so high I’ve been feeding with the ph being around 5 to try and bring it down is that bad? Oops...

I have a soil probe it’s just one of the cheaply ones but when I feed with ph around 5 the run off is always way higher than that so I figured that kinda lines up with my soil ph being high. Keep in mind this has just been the case the last few times while I’ve been trying to fix the soil ph normally I was feeding with the water ph from around 6.3-7

Ignore your meter, keep your feed at 6-7.Most dont bother,my water is 7.2 i dont adjust it unless i run hydro.
