don't use that light sounds like an infrared bulb which isn't good for growing. not the right spectrum of light and probably gonna burn your plants. get some cfl's if you have to. 5000k or 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower. you can get em at lowes the 6500k's are 26 watts and run like 2 or 3 bucks a piece. they have 40 watt 2700k's for like $10. if you use that option be sure to get the 40 watts for flower. it will make a difference. 26w should be fine for veg. if you've only got one lamp you can buy "Y" splitters for the light socket. get 1 and keep the lights close to the top of the plant. the Y splitter also makes the light more effecient more light is emitted from the sides of cfl's rather than the ends. the splitter kinda puts it on a 45 degree angle. every little bit helps. oh and if you use cfls dont veg too long and be sure to top it. check uncle bens thread on topping for 2 or 4 main colas. the cfl's are not efficient more than 18" down. any plant taller than 24" is gonna lose a lot of bottom growth from lack of light so anything more than that is kinda a waste of veg time. throw it in to flower when its a foot tall maybe less, its gonna stretch at least double its height. try to focus more on growing a bush rather than a tree . . . sorry to ramble
