Need Ideas for Best Usage of Equipment

:leaf:Noticed that you are very helpful and contribute knowledgeable and constructive information. Currently setting up my grow tent and saw that you actually drew a basic diagram for another member concerning a can, cooltube, fan lay out. I would be in great appreciation if you could give me a simplistic set up of the most beneficial usage of the equipment which I have been giving by a great buddy by default.

1 180 watt L.E.D.
400 watt HPS/MH cooltube
One 6" carbon filter
2 6" vortex inline duct blowers
Tent is 48x24x60
I also have about 16.5 feet of 6" duct

First grow set-up with this equipment so please explain air flow and what not, as well as how it should be set up. I have had trouble with heat in this closet and hot res temps. (L.E.D. and hydro run before)

So greatly appreciated, thanks!!!!!!!:weed:

Common are you serious, I have 36 views and not one helpful idea or any input…
This is important to me and I just find it funny how this site can have great threads and then some plain foolish fussing threads

ASSISTANCE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by the list you have shown here it seems as though you have a great start. maybe the reason nobody has chimed in is because most people that get this type of equipment already know how it goes together before they purchase it, or get exact specs from the retailer which they purchased. but simply install your exit exhaust near the top of the tent just below the light's level (at the highest setting if you have adjusting light hangers) then, your intake blower should be installed very low and on the opposite side of the tent that you installed the exhaust. The ducting just connects from one item to the other. if you can attach the duct to the cool tube (if it is one of those types) so that the heat is being immediately sucked out. there are directions arrows on the fans/blowers telling which direction they blow. exhaust (up high) blows out, and the lower (intake) blows into your tent. your fans are the same size so it should be pretty simple and you won't have too much going in and not enough going out or the opposite. I, honestly, am not familiar with the LED lighting, and to mbe honest i don't really know why you have it because the hps/mh is all you need, well, that and the correctly corresponding bulbs.

Your assistance was very much needed and I thank you. I somewhat do know what to do with the equipment, just wanted a clear and perhaps the most efficient set-up.

I understand that the exhaust should be in upper most right corner and the intake should be in opposite lower corner, however, I read that the cooltube and the can filter can be hooked up with the exhaust fan and run off the same duct tubing… Basically cool down the light with the grow tent's air?

Is this possible and is it recommended? This would save me from getting a third fan and or sacrificing the intake fan (to use on cooltube)

Also I already have the L.E.D. and I want to utilize it, figure the extra light wont hurt and LED's dont cause that much extra heat

yes you can do that but it wont work as efficiently.because itll be fairly warm in your tent so it wont cool down your light as good.but if the temps in your tent are good when everthing is setup then its not a problem.

you can use the led for side lighting when your plants are older,or just hang it above your plants ofcourse,it'll actually be fine to use during the veg period,so you dont need to use your hid light untill flowering.that'll save on electric ofcourse.if you use it for side lighting when your plants are older, with you hid above, just make sure you swap the plants around to make sure they get there fair share of side lighting too.

great so the side lighting it is. I was planning on putting the LED on the side of tent, it is very light in weight and should add an extra punch to the growth. I will still use the HID light, because I am growing autoflowers (AK47, Gnome, and Diesel Ryder).

I have read that I need to give as much light to the ladies after the first 10-14 days. about a 20/4 cycle

@Resinousflowers

So your thoughts would be to use the carbon can filter with the 1 6" exhaust fan specifically for outtake of air… Then use 1 6" exhaust fan for the cooling of the cooltube(400 watt)
