Hey guys,
I am a newbie and have a sick plant. I'm almost positive that it's due to an acidic soil. The leaves are curling downwards, and it just doesn't look healthy. I got a pH reading, and it's around 5.0. I am pretty sure it was due to the nutes I was using. I am using distilled water, and the pH of that is a healthy 7.0. Last night I flushed it, and the pH didn't move up that much at all.
What my plan is, and I want to know if this is the right thing to do (this is my question #1 to you all) is make my water around a pH of 8.0 to attempt to bring the pH of the soil up in the 6.3-6.7 range, as it's still way too low.
My question #2 is since I just flushed my plant last night, it is still really really wet. Should I wait until next watering (in 5-7 days) to apply the 8.0 pH water, or is this something that needs immediate attention? If immediate attention, should I just water it with the normal amount of water with the pH 8.0 water?
Please help!
