Hey guys, im in need of some help asap! these plants in the picture are about 2 1/2 weeks old. I took these about 3 days ago. They are even more fuller and bushier now. I tried to Lst them yesterday and it seems that i tie is down to the side like im supposed too, but the plant is so bushy that the leaves cover the nodes that im supposed to be getting to on the bottom of the plant. I'm not sure if i should cut a set or two of leaves off the bottom to make the nodes be seen by the light or if i should take some floss and kind of tie the leaves themselves together against the stalk to expose the underneath nodes. I'm really at a loss of words and thoughts on what to do. These are growing so healthy and beautiful i just need to figure out how to LST these for the final touch! Yesterday i Decided to raise the height of the light by like 3 or 4 inches so its at around 18 inches now to maybe get some stretch out of the plant and open it up alittle more to help. But really i'm not sure whatelse to do. Should i just bend them down and just let it go with the nodes covered by all the leaves?

Some backround information on the grow incase its necessary
Fox farm ocean forest, alittle extra perlite mixed in
fox farm trio liquid nutes, 2 feedings done
Tasty led T2 1750 LED
3 gallon grow bags
(purple ryder, royal bluematic, sweet dwarf) all feminised autoflower strains
18/6 light scheldule

(They are even bushier and full now) 3 days after the picture was taken.

If you really want to you can try massaging the leaf stem so it bends where you want, but I agree it may be better left alone a little longer. Any stress at this stage can really hurt growth. Are you giving it silicate? That can help make the stems more pliable IME.

no i'm not using silicate. I'm not worried about the main stem as its really really beefy. more than enough to bend to where i need it, its just that the plant isnt very tall and is so bushy that when you bend it the leaves cover the part of them stem towards the bottom that needs to get light. i guess ill wait another week and see where i'm at height wise if i can do it then.

I agree with this.
My plants looked just like this. I topped them. I know, alot of auto growers say don't top. I have seen great results from others, so I went for it.

The massaging advice is great. I do this to make leaves pliable enough to tuck it under other leaves, opening up tops. I don't think it's necessary at this stage.

Raising the light is also good, if stretching is what you want.

Your girl looks good here. Can you post a recent pic?

I'm going to try to do the massaging technique and see if I can open up some room on the bottom for light to get to the nodes. If not I'm going to try and stretch them out an inch or so to get some open space down there. Or possibly top them. Would it be to early to top them right now? That pics is from about 4 days ago I believe. I will post one for you to see tonight since I'm at work right now. They are basically the same height. Just a lot bushier. More leaves etc etc I'm sure you know

You can top at the 3rd or 4th node. I topped mine at 3rd(14 days old)

You can pull over the plants, the leaves will turn to the light, dont worry so much about that.you need to start lst soon with autos, you cant afford to wait.

Stop topping autos! IMAG0469.jpgit's so much easier to just pull the top to the side of the plant and far less growth stunting

Top em, fim em, twist em, bend em, tie em, or don't. Its really just a preference and I think you should experiment and interact with your plants if you want to. What I mean is don't be afraid to. They want to be alive too so if you ever do manage to do anything that damaging you will surely learn from such a mistake. These Auto's are really like oversexed aggressive nymphomaniacs compared to non af's. Its only in the last year that I have I gained any experience with them and mainly because herbies f'ed up and sent me a ton of mixed auto's rather than the mixed fems I ordered, was stuck out with no momma for a bit. No hate, love me some herbies, just made an order the other day, AJ's and some poison. Im getting off topic. So put on your cowboy boots and get ready to wrangle you some buds..

I like to do my bondage with real leather, and don't forget the nipple clamps, safety pins work too.

Now the queen (or top) hates to bow, so you have to keep your eyes on her. Even her close advisers will try to poke there heads up into the heavens. I like to wrap leather around their necks and yank them down, no ones special! We want uniformity here..

That is my take anyway. I do not prefer auto's but I will say they have their place in my heart now. That was all lst, I have also toped ,etc but have no photos. it doesn't matter imo as long as canopy is getting even lighting for trichs is idea.
