What were your challenges outdoors ? Pests weather timing ? I see you’ve been here since 2016 and have completed grows so what area are you trying to improve?
#1 The quality of the smoke and herb (taste and high)

#2 What has been proven to grow at this type of location? (My personal fave is Skywalker Kush but I bet that won’t grow here outside. I do prefer the Indica variety

#3 I have a perfect location (my basement) to dry cannabis, humidity is controlled by dehumidifier. I don’t think I properly dried the buds the first go around so had to resort to opening and airing weed in jar.

#4 Dealing with mold ( I see a lot of ways to deal with it here but it seems over my head in terms of what I need to deal with it.) How to trim bush but not kill it, stuff like that.

#5 I’m not looking for someone’s trade secrets, I just want to grow so delicious herb.

#6 The problem with questions here is too many conflicting answers.

#7 Anyway, other than the responses here no one has stepped forward.

#8 I did sign up,here awhile ago but didn’t get a chance to grow anything until 2020 during the pandemic..

I gave you the breeder you need to talk to, Other than that you need to run a bunch of differnt stuff an hope to get lucky no body is going to step up an give you the perfect strain what i run beats anything in the shops but i got 40 yrs under my belt. Getaway mountain seeds is agreat place to start in maine. By the way all the cuts here in the shops do not do well outdoor in maine no matter what they say. If you do call getaway tell him i sent you.

I didn’t take pics of the last couple efforts
I just wanted you to understand my past efforts for great outdoor

tell me why outdoor or light dep sells for less ?
and no sense in blasting me on pics because your examples looked unfinished bro
If I could I would show light dep pics but almost all my pics were lost to a computer loss
Show me some top shelf light dep so I have a goal?

Lets stay on point you show plants that are not depo then make a statement about not being able to grow good depo from maine to michigan then show some buds that look moldy to me, An you say it sells for less i have no idea what your talking about Less than what? The rip off shops, An all my pics look premature LOL well they are still growing?

I got no dog in the fight cause I can’t grow top shelf anywhere yet lol. I can say I know a couple people who dep and have issues with rot and mold just the same. They bring out the big fans and lights etc. but imo if I have to make a climate outdoors like indoors I don’t see the point. Yes I agree no light beats the sun but I tell my lights what to do. Idk really I’ve had some mighty fine ins and outs. Only thing about outside with me is I can get bigger plants and can usually end up with what I need after losses even though it usually could use a couple more weeks. That said that’s with no protection

So no pics
You can grow decent weed outdoor/ light dep but all it takes is a few weeks if cloudy humid weather and adios
If it was as easy as that everyone would buy light dep systems
I get the feeling you do it manually
And as far as your plants are still growing
How about a pic of your heated light dep set up ?
I’ll look forward to your finished plant pics
Mold free of course

Good ignore all you want taking plants indoors to led is not light dep
I can’t haul 50 plus plants indoor and wouldn’t bring pest into my grow
Bye bye

Get the fastest flowering strain you can and then hope for extended good weather at the end of the season. Don't grow a landrace sativa and expect to make it to harvest.

Good luck.

There's also these 2020 and 2021 threads for Maine outdoor growers. You probably already read through them but if you haven't it's probably worth a peek.

Someone mentioned “ just ask here” which I will continue to do but, look how this thread devolved from my original post. It gets tiring separating the wheat from the chaff.

Yes, I follow these threads.

And yes, a fast strain. See, this is where I could use sound advice. I like Skywalker Kush strain, which I buy grown of course. It’s a Sativa, has a great taste and a fantastic powerful deep body high. What might be comparable that would work in my location and finish in Sept?

I usually put plants outside Memorial Day.
